okay, since everyone is going on about her accuracy in this video. Here's a little info-
Fun House TV has commercial cultured (freshwater) pearls from China meaning they are manmade. Bits of shell are inserted into the mollusk and it creates pearls. They are real pearls just not naturally created.
Natural Freshwater pearls are from lakes and rivers.
Natural Saltwater pearls are from the sea and ocean.
Also they sent you the oyster in a preservative called formaldehyde that's why it stinks. The bleach didn't destroy the pearls.
Hope people have their answers now.

The pearls stuck to the shell can't be removed- they're called blister pearls and when the pearls are harvested, the shell is cut to make them into pendants etc.
mayhem beading I thought the bleach melted them.
A pearl unprotected put in bleach might dissolve.. these were somewhat protected by the shell, however she really ruined them. That is why they are a bland white like raw pasta in places rather than the beautiful creamy lustrous glow of freshwater pearls.
mayhem beading does she get money from these pearls or no? Don't know a lot about this, so I'm just wondering i know people would "fish" for clams to get their pearls and make money but now is it just easy to find these clams?

Saltwater pearls tend to be more diverse and color than freshwater pearls. So these are probably freshwater pearls.
