Looking under to see the caster defines what I am about. Yes, I am that kind of dude.
Great tricks! Saves time and better results!
That's the name of the game!
Bro. Great tips. Thank you.
Any time!
Why not leave the foil on to paint and then remove and oil ?
You def could. The reason I dont is BC the cheap foil I use doesnt hug the caster as tight as the saran wrap does. The foil tends to tear if I wrap too tight. If you have a good quality foil It could do double duty.
Excellent great information. What is your opinion between miller 215 and Hobart ironman 230 looking to upgrade
Hey Joe, Im glad you saw this one. I remember you asking about this. As far as welders, I own three millers and have nothing bad to say about them. If I remember correctly hobart is owned by miller. Both would prob be good machines but I tend to default to blue....
Is this an aluminum caster? Can you actually weld them to mild steel using just fluxcore wire?
No, its not aluminum. Its steel
I'll use that foil and plastic wrap idea thanks
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Would the heat damage the caster ??
No, just do short stitch welds and let it cool. No need to pour the heat to it.
