Jackson Powers Johnson. He'll be in range where Beane can trade up a little and re-fortifies the middle of our line, giving us 3 anchors who don't get pushed back. I loved Mitch to pieces, but he wasn't an answer for the depth of pocket issues Beane began to address last year.

I typed this before I even started the episode. Glad we agree. I think Beane will even move up a bit for him

Ugh. So ignore the glaring need for a #1 & #2 receiver i guess. Diggs is shite the past 3 playoff games and Gabe is gone. Neither new additions really replaces either. We hopefully will get rid of Diggs and his stupid antics next year. Is there a legit X receiver after rd 1 and where we will pick in rd2? Big risk. We can play McGovern at center and Edwards is an above average starting guard. The rest is set. Why not a mid round developmental center who could start later in his rookie year if necessary and more like his year 2 or 3? Then go for broke, move up and get BTJ or Ad Mitchell in rd1, perhaps an edge or stud DT with our 2nd pick. You know what i'm sayin. Then a center and the rest on defense maybe a late shot at running back in 5th and 6th. We certainly have more picks than we need. Time to trade some and move up. If we get that x receiver, an edge, DT, a safety, IOL and a RB and CB later. I think we are set with 7 players 8 tops. We got 11 picks. Time to move up. Go Bills!

@@manny4mayor haha very fair. I'm a big fan of JPJ. Was very impressed with him in person at the Senior Bowl and then on tape as well

@@BillsMafiaExperience the bills have only drafted for need once the last few years. And that reaching for a not ideal fit in Kair. I'd rather take the best player, most ready to step in and play right away. The Bills pretty much never do what the fans and media think they HAVE to do in the first.
If Josh is protected and has time, you and I could play receiver and it wouldn't make a difference. He'd get us the ball. His greatest successes haven't been with day one draft picks, but trait guys like brown, beasely, and of course Diggs.
Speaking of Diggs, Cover1 could put to bed the whole Diggs is washed nonsense. He was open all the time, maybe not as immediately as early in his career, but he broke open all the time. It seemed like a lot of times Josh would just miss him because he had moved on in his reads or, more frequently, been moved off his spot. Protect Josh, increase the depth of his pocket, and he'll find the open guy.
Lastly, Josh's mobility isn't gonna last forever. The Steelers kept Ben relevent by putting an elite oline in front of him. I want Josh's DeCastro. JPJ is that dude. WR can wait til the second round, because the Bills are going to take their sweet ass time developing them anyway.

How much stock do you think the Bills actually put into their perceived NEED for an X?
They seems very forward thinking to me. For example, they were well ahead of the curve on going to nickel as a base D. What do we think the chances are that they move mostly to 2 tight end sets with 3 interchangeable "positionless" receivers and San Fran levels of motion?
They like disguising on defense. Couldn't full time Diggs, Samuel, and Shakir make them extremely unpredictable on offense and allow them to exploit matchups all over thr field?

I would draft Graham Barton at 28, if he is there, and the WRs are a bit picked over. Graham can play OC, OG, and OT. He is a super clean prospect, and really smart. Protect the QB !

Jermaine Burton's "character questions" clouds his fit for the Bills, but IMO he would be a great value at pick 60. He had ZERO drops in 2024. 6' 196lbs. "Burton's got wheels. He can gobble up turf with his long strides, often blowing past DBs without breaking a sweat.
Elite at hauling in the deep ball. This guy can adjust on the fly to snag those off-target heaves with ease."

His interviews are going to go a long way on determining where he does (both in terms of what team and where in the draft). He's one of my favorite watches on tape

@@Cover1 I am not a riverboat gambler with 2nd round draft picks, but if he passes the Beane due diligence, I do think his skill set is NFL level. He went to IMG in high school, and played at Georgia and Alabama. So he is no slug. He could become a really good pro if he has the drive.

Ja’lynn Polk vs Legette at 60 if they’re both there? Assuming no WR in round 1, that’s what I’m torn on

Legette for me. The fit works too well based on the current WR room and trajectory
