OMG, Diana Ross & Whitney Houston are two of my FAVORITE pop music divas EVER! And Michael Jackson ADORED them BOTH!
It’s astounding that at the very hight of her fame and throughout Whitney’s career that she was so humble and supportive and embraces all the modern day younger females artists who either came after her or was heavily influenced by her..brandy, Monica, faith evans, Kelly Price, the whole lot of them. All the while still managed to give props and respect for all the older artistes that came before her. Not Beyoncé who thinks she’s above and beneath everyone, she don’t follow, she don’t repost, she doesn’t go live or even engaged with her core fanbase. This girl was at the Grammies this year with security guards at her table, in a room filled with other stars, and we don’t find this weird?
Whitney was right. Diana Ross never got her due. She was such a underrated singer.
Hmmm , I don't know about that ... Diana Ross has always been the leader of the pack, the one to try and beat the archetype - she really has no peers. I think the underrated /undermined part -- comes from some levels of jealousy. That being said most successful artists denote Ms. Ross as highly noteworthy

Whitney was correct about Diana Ross and this is when I start liking Whitney's personality much more.
Their has never been or will be another DIANA ROSS She is in a class of her own. She is truly The biggest female Superstar in the world unarguably She has set the standard of female showmanship style fashion, and elegance. And the Hits, Movies, TV Specials, concerts, That few has come close to achieving, and still going strong today.
All are legends but Diana Ross is like James Brown while Whitney Houston is like Michael Jackson, the last 2 took everything to a whole new level.

The highlight for me that moment Diana goes from stage to audience to hug and greet Whitney Houston just after signalling to the band while singing "Voice of the Heart". for me one of best and most meaningful songs. I had to stop and see the rest later. A classy and sincere gesture of reaching out, coordinated with the orchestra through her communication with the conductor, where her vocal turn comes back around, she stops in place to belt out the climax. I always believe truth is conveyed more accurately by one's own actions and words, rather than what is about one by those who don't even know her.

The term Diva as we know it was coined for Diana! She was the first black female Superstar singer that crossed every single barrier. She opened doors in which people like Whitney, Beyoncé etc all were able to walk through. She did it with style, grace, beauty and a unique, sound that NO ONE has ever been able to match. She was the first and miraculously she is still standing to this day!❤ Love her

That's because they want to misunderstand Diana Ross. Its not hard to put ourselves into the shoes of others in order to empathize. A lot of people are just mean spirited & selfish. Its easier for them to cut down others rather than, discover & show the beauty that's inside them. GOD gives everybody something special.

Good thing Whitney is not on that hateful level like that. Diana and Whitney are the only two who had that pop princess success on that level. No not Beyonce; she don't even have those types of songs under her belt. Cissy Houston has even sung back-up for Diana and always was friendly with Dionne. Diana knew who Whitney was before all this so-called blowing up. Go start that sister-against sister-hood-ratchet activity somewhere else.

DIANA wasn't jealous. In fact, she just as excited for Janet as she was rising. She's seen both women before they were BIG, and she was genuinely excited for the exciting black up-and coming acts. The popularity of those new black acts(whitney,janet, michael, prince), also made it possible for the older legendary acts to have a resurgence in popular radio again.
