Isuki Hirata is a great fighter. I clicked on this video just to watch her amazing Judo throws. Sadly, she got caught. Props to Victoria Souza! With perfect Jiu-Jitsu technique, her opponent went to sleep in seconds. Isuki Hirata showed her Japanese warrior spirit, though. She would rather go to sleep than to tap! Much respect! 😔🙏
@eliasb8 Unfortunately Itsuki just likes to stand and trade or work to get ground control on top but she couldn't pop her head out because of how deep the guillotine was on her. She probably could've circled out, but she would've had the experience to get out of that. I'm more disappointed by how she just over committed and rushed in.
Victoria is just trained well rounded, those punches, the distance alert, that jump with guillotine... Congratulations! Itsuki is beautiful and strong girl, that was a lesson, hope trainers will adopt her style.

That's not the point. They love the good girls who hug and cry after a fight. Everything in Hirata infuriating them. "Too cute", "Too arrogant", "Too heavy", "Too many photos on Instagram", "Too many likes", "Too many comments, unlike the modest, poor rivals". That's all makes them screaming with red faces. Three losses in a row and they squeal with delight. If the "good girl" loses, she was robbed. You like Itsuki? You're a simp!
Do you need to eat poop to understand why poop taste bad? No. You can compare poop to pizza and you would easily know that the Pizza is more appetizing. Every critique is relative to her level. Is she a good fighter? Sure and should would beat most girls. Is she a good fighter compared to her competition? No, she is awful. She got out grappled by Jihin, out wrestled by Miura, our struck by Ham and Victoria until submitted. Outside of her judo, what is she truly good at? Nothing. She is god awful at every aspect of MMA at the professional level. She should be fighting in amatuer and relearn the fundamental of MMA. All of which she lacked because she relied too heavily on her Judo. Those 3 loses all follow a common trend, she wasnt able to land a SINGLE throw nor was she ever close to securing a Judo throw.
like someone said, do you need to eat poop to know it tastes bad? no. so why do you need to fight to observe Hirata's weaknesses? also, i am a recreational muay thai fighter and enjoy having some actual matches in the gym or hard sparring (not too often of course). i know what its like to hit and get hit. and my opinion before i started and after of fighters ive observed never changed lmao
For real. I was sure she would improve after losing to Radzuan, and we would see a whole new Hirata. Instead, she seems demotivated and on the decline. She should just retire before injuring herself seriously.
@ParanoidSYN they were not. Most of her win relied on her getting close and doing a judo hip throw to get people down. This is a technique that only suppose to work at a surprise or against bad opponent. This is because you will get your back taken doing this move if opponent knows it is coming. That is why it is very rarely used in men MMA. In hirata case, her opponent were garbage since One wanted to promote her. People clueless like you bought into the hype. Once she fought decent people such as Jihin who just took her back, she was absolutely clueless. She tried it again vs Lin Heqin, and Sam situation but she was gifted a win by judges. She herself realized her weakness and started to learn wrestling vs Ham. She gave up on Judo here forth. Sadly this late in the career and only learning how to actually fight now was too late. Long story short, she isnt good and never was. She has a 100% lost rate when she fails to land a judo hip throw
hirata's game never improved ... she's the same fighter she was at the start of her pro career ... she has good judo throws and ground control ... but she still gets outclassed by average strikers and grapplers
Which shouldnt be a surprise. Outside of her Judo, she is a terrible striker and grapplers. I cant even recall her ever succeeding a single take down outside her judo. If people actually look at her skill set instead of following their lower halves, they would come to realize she isnt good at anything. Like seriously....what is Itsuki even good at beside Judo?
@arismartinez4712 when has she shown to have a good chin? Nobody she has fought had good striking and are all pillow hands. The only fighter with real striking and power in this division is Stamp. Until she survive Stamp, your statement make no sense. Not that she would ever get the chance to fight stamp.
To me (and I've seen all her matches), she looked overconfident, as if she had no respect for her opponent. Cardinal sin in combat sports. I think she beats Souza 8 of 10 times, but you gotta respect your opponents.
@@kevinbrennan-ji1so Dont know how you can say this is over confident. She was getting out struck and was trying very hard to pressure Souza to the fence but it was failing. It was obvious this was what she was doing. Same tactic Ronda used to get people to cage and then clinch up and judo throw. Souza was also not biting any of her take down feints. She got desperate and shot a take down from VERY far and slow that Souza easily stopped it. Dont know how you can say she beat Souza 8/10 when souza beat her in Striking(easily out struck), Grappling (submission win) and wrestling(stopped take down easily). Pretty much all area of MMA.
@@MikeD-hn9hf People are just in denial about her ability. She simply isnt good. Besides her Judo, which no longer works, she has terrible striking stats. Dont think anyone going to argue elsewise. Regarding her wrestling, I dont even recall when she actually succeed a single take down without her Judo. If I am wrong, please link me to a video of her actually completing a real take down because I am almost certain she has failed all of them. Regardless, her take down success rate is awful. People who are saying she is good, what was she actually good at? When has she ever displayed impressive striking? wrestling? BJJ?
I dunno, she has had a few opportunities to improve over the past few years, (training with Shinya Aoki, other fighters pointing out holes in her style, etc.) but seems to have stagnated. She has yet to round out her game, she doesn't seem to have the spirit to improve. Honestly, she reminds me of Ronda Rousey without the hype. A decent grappler with awful striking, who can't seem to capitalize on her strengths. I used to be really excited to see where she would go, but she hasn't gone anywhere.
If you make someone pass out with a choke, you should check on them immediately. I can’t believe that attitude. When you win, you should show respect to your opponent right away, especially if they passed out from the choke. Even if Ithis Brazilian was too hyped up on adrenaline to think straight, the team should be more vigilant and take life and death seriously. Unbelievable.
It annoys me, when fighters recklessly toss an unconscious opponent about, when the ref stops the fight. As if they can't wait a few seconds, before celebrating.
Probably thought that she needed to become more of a heavy hitter when her teqs were already a good focus I can see the training in her spirit though, just needs a bit more practice of it

This is not the Hirata I've seen before. I hope she can regain her passion!
Based on the fact that she has not been able to make weight before the matches, it seems unlikely that she'll be able to come back.
I really like how humble she is. It seems she glorifies God and not herself.
She would be more humble if she glorified Harry Potter.
