JT that made me so proud to hear your analysis of what's going on in America. It was spot on and you are so correct imagine having 5 public enemy type groups spreading the truth. Thank you for your honest reaction I have a couple of requests Victim of the Ghetto and Problems of the World Fearless Four. Thank you my sister stay blessed stay true to your convictions.
I saw them twice in concert and I lived in Hyde Park Chicago where diversity of cultures lived in peace. Don’t give up. The young ones are the ones to keep the fight going without violence. The way you’re thinking is the same as the capitol take over. Please stay positive.
I remember this track. Based on a controversy at the time. Governor of AZ wouldn’t celebrate MLK Day. Public Enemy had a response to that, which was this song. P.S. Saw a racist sticker on a bus stop today. I scratched it up with a quarter.
You're one thoughtful sister. Thank you for reviewing this amazing song by this amazing group. This is coming from a 'white guy' and big PE fan (we're all brown in some way!) from Europe.'You're amazing! Keep it up! Stay thoughtful, stay safe, stay proud!
The Public Enemy Arizona title origin came from the late musician and singer Issac Hayes. During the early 1970s he had a song titled, 'By The Time I Get Back To Arizona.' It's a very good song.
You need to do your homework the song was By the time I get to Phoenix and it was written and sung by a country singer named Glen Campbell, Issac Hayes redid it
@@davidlynn3631 I don't need to do anything. Isaac Hayes covered several songs. 'WALK ON BY' is another example. Song by Dionnne Warick. In the context of my post. The Public Enemy origin came from Isaac Hayes.
@davidlynn3631 irrelevant emotional reply. It's foolishness on your part, assuming that I didn't know. I'd actually kmown. But like like I'd stated in my initial reply. Public Enemy was using their message based on Isaac Hayes version. Learn some knowledge.
Chuck D is still going. He's in Prophets of Rage with a few other notables. Prophets of Rage "Unfuck the World" kicks ass. Public Enemy was extremely controversial back in the day. They were also necessary.
You can't cancel the real. People just have no heart today. The real is bigger than the internet. Everyone was on PE's ass back then but they didn't care. Today clowns are celebrated in our community.
itzjt all of your questions will be answered about why and who we so called black people are if you read deuteronomy 28in the bible about our true identity.
Chuck D never made it to AZ, all talk, & we 'Zonies still don't have Chocolate MiLK Day. They do have parades 4 him, but when They get outta Their 'hoods & on 1 street, they fight each other. 😭
@@mfjudge9212 To quote Martin Luther King, Jr: I "judge people not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." Chuck D did the opposite. 🤔

More white than Black? I don't know about that, Watch "Eyes on The Prize" series 14-hour television series that covers all of the major events of the civil rights movement from 1954-1985

Shut em Down - Public Enemy. Another banger.... Salute 👑
Yes do the Album version not the remix.
I'm feeling the Pete Rock remix. But either one
They both had a moment.
The original video PE put out gives the first context before the remix, but I understand why some want the remix.
Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos - Public Enemy.
Chuck D....Thank you!
The problem is the parents. Kids don't know about racism until they are taught.
I’m so glad you took the time to do this song. Plus your analogy is right on Thank you!
Well said Jen……great review! 👏

Now that's what I'm talking about 😊😊😊😊 THAT BASS!!!
I was in college (HBCU) when this dropped. It hit so hard back then.

If you get a chance, do the Public Enemy song "Hazy Shade of Criminal"!
It came out after they fell off, but it may be their best song!
