Cherry has a promising future ahead of him. After graduating from school, he goes to university and meets the love of his life, Emily. However, their young happiness is not to last long. When Emily breaks up with Cherry, he joins the army - a decision he regrets only a short time later. After his training, he is sent to Iraq. The horror of war leaves Cherry with deep wounds. After returning from Iraq, he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and becomes addicted to drugs. Along with this come money problems that turn him into a criminal. To pay his debts and buy new drugs, Cherry robs banks. He cannot escape the vicious circle.

This is one of the most phenomenal movies I have ever watched.
I wanted to see this bc of Tom holland, but honestly I forgot I was watching a Tom holland movie 1) bc he didn’t look like himself 2) he’s such a great actor & obviously wasn’t the goofy guy we know and 3) I was completely sucked into the story. It was so good. 37% on rotten tomatoes??? that’s TOTAL b.s.

I just wanted to say that this movie was absolutely amazing. One thing I don't understand is that the critics said that this movie wasn't that good because of the dark theme of the movie yet I find that part of the movie amazing. I find that the dark theme of it makes the movie that much more realistic. The acting was phenomenal from both Tom and Ciara. I loved how they have the ability to go completely unrecognizable from their other roles in movies/shows. Like while I was watching the movie I completely forgot that they were Tom and Ciara. Yes this movie isn't something I'd recommend for a kid or even a teen since it's more of a film for a more mature audience but still the movie is amazing. I enjoyed so much and would highly recommend it. Great film👍😊👏

This film took effort to watch, some scenes are tough and upsetting but it just prove how great and phenomenal Tom Holland as an actor in this film, he really did push his limits which makes it an oscar-worthy performance.

I already watched that movie 4 times ! And I really love it Tom and Ciara did a really great job ! So are the Russo Brothers and the whole set ! I love this movie. It gives you another point of view of life. This movie makes me really think. Even tho I have my shit together there’s a lot people like Cherry and Emily and they need help ! But how you see it in the movie there’s not always help. I just think this movie is Brilliant and it really needs a Oscar ! Good Job to the whole crew 😊

I have learned many things from this movie, one of the things I learned was to not join the army.
I also learned that Tom Holland is in fact not a great actor. He is instead an amazing actor with an incredible future and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
Edit: I also recommend you watch Hamilton. King George III may be comic relief, but I love him. The reason why I'm bringing this up is because there's a song in Hamilton called What Comes Next...... So, yeah! Watch it.

This movie, and Tom Hollands acting here was actually where he inspired to be an actress. Like I was already interested in acting, but his acting here made me put acting as the career path I would like to go through.
He's actually now my role model, I now look up to him. I guess it's because, the character he plays in this, name Cherry. And yes I know this is technically based on a true story, of a book written by the person who experience it. So he's not kind of a character. Anyways, I think it's because Cherry is different than the characters that Tom Holland had played, at least the recent ones. Ever I since watch Spider-Man, he did great! And then he started playing other roles who are similar to Peter Parker, that's because he's so good at that role that he gets offered to get those similar roles as well.
But Cherry in the other hand is different, and so I think that's why I got intrigued by his acting in this film, because it's something new to me. I never seen Tom Holland act as this kind of character, I get to see him act as a different character.
The movie itself was pretty good, the critics seems fair, I could see why some people don't really like this film. It's not that GREAT GREAT of a movie, it's just good. And I learned so much from this movie, I never knew why and how people even consumed drugs, because of this movie now I know. And the whole PTSD thing was quite new to me, I never knew people could suffer from trauma, I didn't even know how it works, and I never knew people who went through war experience these.
Plus the shots of this movie is beautiful! If you want to watch a movie that really isn't action pack kind of movie, not really much of BIG HUGE THING kind of movie, kind of like just a small movie and going blind to it, not knowing what it's about. I'd suggest watching this movie, I had no the f*ck idea what the movie was about because someone did the trailer *really well,* the trailer itself didn't really talk about what's the story about, it just show you some scenes that intrigues you to go and watch and sit your butt down to just watch the movie by itself. And it turns out good to me!
