- THE NACO:
Serves 6-8
The Taco:
2 tbsp olive oil
1.5 cups onion, finely chopped
3 tbsp minced garlic
3 tbsp ground cumin
2 lbs ground beef
1 tsp ground chipotle pepper
1.5 tsp salt
2 cups beef broth
1/4 cup tomato paste
Flour tortillas
Toppings:
tomatoes, lettuce, cilantro avocado, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, etc.
On a medium heat add your olive oil into a saute pan. Saute your onions until they are translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add garlic & cumin and continue to saute for another minute. Add beef, breaking it up if necessary, and cook until it is browned, 8-10 minutes. Season with chipotle pepper and salt. Add beef broth and tomato paste and cook the meat in the liquid at a simmer / low boil until it evaporates (20 minutes). Remove from heat and drain any excess liquid if necessary.
The Nachos:
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
1 tsp salt
1.5 tsp dark chili powder
A palmful of ground cumin
2 tsp cayenne pepper sauce
1 can black beans
Nacho cheese:
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1 cup milk
1.5 cups pepper jack, shredded
Beans: Add oil to saute pan, saute garlic and onion for 2-4 minutes. Season with salt, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper. Cook for another 4-5 minutes. Stir beans in and reduce heat.
Cheese: in a sauce pot, melt butter and add flour, stirring until combined. Cook 1-2 minutes over a medium heat. Slowly whisk in milk, and when it begins to bubble stir in cheese with a wooden spoon until all incorporated and melted. Remove from heat.
Assembling the Naco:
Make your taco line! Heat your flour tortillas in a pan and add your taco ingredients and toppings. Then crunch your nachos over top and add your beans and nacho cheese. Grab four corners, bag it up, and eat away. The Naco is finally yours to consume!

Ron Stoppable would be disappointed in the lack of processed ingredients, dripping cheese and "food" byproducts.

Not feasible. Aside from licence issues, keeping a menu with that many dissimilar dishes never works out.

God I miss my childhood. I remember eating Taco Bell while watching Kim Possible and then Ron makes the Naco and my jaw dropped cause thats how I Always at my soft tacos, with nachos in them and nacho cheese. I truly felt that me and Ron would be best friends.

I always giggled at the Naco in Kim Possible, because Naco is slang for something really different in Mexico.
I not completely sure, it's something I have heard in Mexican pop culture while growing up. But I think it has origin from Nahuatl, the language of the Mexica(also known as the Aztecs).

I'm mexican and I aprove this! Actually, they are hundred of ways to fill a taco, you can make one out of beans, or maybe only cheese, chicharrón or whatever you have. So if you make a crazy (and yummy) combination like this "naco", it's just fine. At home, we always say "if it's not messy when you are eating, then it's not tasty" (hence the sauce, cream and the cheese dripping out off a taco or "naco" in this case).

If you stir in the milk about 1/4 cup at a time and wait for it to thicken between each milk portion, it comes out a lot creamier and thicker (: The butter and flour mixture should be a paste so if it isn't, add more flour or butter. You can also use the butter flour milk mixture as a roux or a base for most simple cream sauces or creamy soups!

The funny part in this is that in Mexico "naco" its a person who is vulgar, ugly, poor and/or marginal. I know because I'm Mexican and I've seen many of them XD

I feel like a Taco Bell version would ironically be more authentic.
Word of advice for people who want to make the cheese thicker than do the butter and flour by itself where it is almost has a dark tan color and it sticks together then add the milk and cheese. Thickness depends on how much of the flour and butter that you add in to the milk and cheese. So add a little of that at a time into the milk until you get the perfect thickness and you can either freeze or refrigerate the rest. PS: I love watching these videos 0____0

this sounds good though..if you really want home made chips though get those small corn tortillas cut them in small chip shapes then deep fry them at 400* until they are slightly a golden color. make sure you let them drain well and as they do add some salt to them so it gives them flavor but you dont have to.
