The 2013 V40 D2 has day light led lamps included at the front of the bumper which does not allow you to seperate like that or otherwise you will break the fixings. It needs to be removed with the underside in tact.

Great video manual mate! Just one question... why do you only remove the LH headlight unit? I want to take my bumper of tommorow to change my grille and want to know if I have to take the headlights out? (any tips on getting the grille out and in the bumper?) Thanks in advance for your answer!
Thank you, I can’t remember exactly what I say in the video but I think it was just to give the option. On some cars for some people they may prefer to get the headlights out of the way, less likely to damage them. Thanks for watching, all the best!
2015 i'm working on is totally different to your car. The split of the bumper where it joins the rest of the body is bolted together with hidden bolts/screws The screwes for the under body join only has 6 not 8 rest of the job lights etc is exactly the same, but the bumper can't be separated
Make sure you disconnect the battery just in case it triggers the airbag light. Basically every car is the same, 4 bolts and an electrical connector somewhere under the seat.
Hi, I’ve only just been asked this and unfortunately I don’t know, I’m not sure if the LED drivers are part of the assembly and whether it would require coding.

Repoussez les centres pour qu'ils dépassent du haut, une fois le clip remis en place, appuyez sur le centre vers le bas.

Once you have the bumper off how easy is it to replace the grille? Mine has been damaged and I want to replace just the grill.
I can’t recall how the grille was attached but it’ll just be clipped in position with strong plastic I expect.
Do you happen to know if upgrading the 2016 headlights to the Thor’s hammer headlights would retain full functionality?
If the connectors are the same I can’t see why not but I don’t know for sure and would also like to know.
