    If you would take and dig down about 8inches around the outside area of your pen then lay the small chicken wire in and cover it with soil.bring the wire inside your pen and run it up thr sides..that will help digging varmits out. This is an old farmers thing..try it.

  • @KatrinaLPate
    @KatrinaLPate 3 дні тому +13

    What you should do for your coups is put in a dig guard so that critters can not dig into the coups from the outside. It will help protect your livestock from anything trying to dig into the coups to get your animals. I have them around my wolf pen to keep my wolves from digging out, and when I rebuild my fencing, I'm going to put it around my whole property.

      Mold is a big problem in these shelters so that will determine what can be kept inside it. My grandfather had one with 2 vents like the one they have but the mold was pretty bad inside it. He even left the door open to help but it didn’t.

    Hi Brandon & jami,
    I dont know if u guys know the coghill farm Jason & Brooke. Take a look at their fencing on property. Their fencing seems to keep their anmails in where ever they want to put them. I think that's the type of fencing u guys are going to have to settle with.❤❤

    The only thing I have seen that’s a drawback for Factor is there isn’t any second helpings or leftovers!😊❤

    Well he -BW prefers to be in the meadows. Y'all really don't have a lot of grass to raise cows on your property. Just saying. ❤❤

    I agree that a crock pot meal is cheaper and more plentiful.
    Factor meals are ok, but skimpy, unless you are trying to lose weight.

    Bushwacker needs his own ladies, Showtime is too young for what he wants. Bulls love the ladies 😂

    I don't know if anyone has told you but cows need longer grass to eat than horses, sheep and goats. Optimum is 8 to 10 inches long and minimum is 3-4 inches long. The short grass that sheep and horses can still use was the cause of conflict between cattle and sheep owners when people let all the stock out on a range in the past. It could be that Bushwacker is not just leaving for the company of other cows but because he is looking for longer grass. I know you have hay too but most animals prefer grass to hay and with the neighbors taller grass right over the fence it may be too much temptation. He and Showtime may need their own space where the other animals can't eat the grass so short. Nutritionally speaking the longer grass is better for them to ruminate on as well I think.
