Fantastic video Kiristen! Currently stuck in a perpetual cycle of monotony, and just completed my TEFL course. Was in Russia a few years ago for a visit. Thanks for helping me choose a teaching path! Enjoy yourself!
What an awesome and informative video! I can tell that you are loving everything over there so far and I cant wait to see more of your adventures in Moscow. Post more food pics hahahaha.
Hi Kristen, I really liked your video. I think you covered the most important things there is to know about teaching in Russia. I have a couple of questions. Do they pay you during school holidays? If not how do you survive? I am 51 and l am from Australia. Will they choose to employ someone that's younger than me? If you could please answer these two questions that would be great.

Hi, I am interested to teach in Russia. I was told that I can not teach English in Russia unless I get a degree/certificate from Russian Pedagogical University as teacher of English. Was I misinformed?
Realistically if you want to rent your own studio (a decent one by western standards), and live normally, meaning that you can go out sometimes, you’ll need to be earning min. RUB 60k.
At this moment in September 2022, we wouldn't recommend looking into teaching in Russia at this time due to the war and sanctions currently being put on the country. With the country main banks out of the SWIFT system, it may be difficult for one to get paid if your main bank is another country. We'd recommend turning to other countries to teach in for now.
@@IntTEFLAcademy thank you! yeah i would have been really interested a few years ago but it just doesn’t seem safe :( what a shame. i’ve always wanted to visit.
