For some reason, i can see Xilonen can be paired well with Kazuha on any duo PECH core team such as Neuvillette/Furina, Arlecchino/Bennett, Cryo DPSes/Shenhe to name a few. Not only that, if she's really a 2nd Kazuha but geo instead of anemo and healing instead of CC, then I can't wait for her to come out asap.

I think a lot of you again underestimate Kazuha's Grouping and own dmg + elemental application. Surely if all you do is fight a single target Boss then Xilonen takes the W as soon as u have r1 or c2 any day of the week, but in Abyss grouping enemies together is such a goated ability
That depends a lot on what dps you're using because not all dps need grouping. But yeah, each have their points, it's just that in raw numbers xilonen is just better if you have either c2 or weapon, but that's already more than most will have
I mean Kazuha needs grouping coz his buff is 8 seconds only, the artifact is 20 seconds and the weapon is 6 sec (ramp up) and 15 sec (buff duration) with that long duration, you dont need to group enemies with that long duration
@@Ihatefoodbuffs Even with a long duration, grouping up enemies is a massive DPS boost. If you hit 3 enemies, and I hit 1, you're doing 3x the damage. Furthermore, after I kill my one, I now have to run over to the next one. That time spent moving costs damage. And all the while the enemy isn't dead, it is doing stuff to me. And there's one other big consideration: Circle Impact and its near neighbors...Mualani tagging, Ayaka burst cone, that sort of thing. Heck, lack of a physical friendly grouper is one of the many reasons why Eula is lackluster... all her damage focused on that burst, but no grouper on the team and enemies are free to move in that 6s of charging. That said, Xil will pair nicely with the likes of Yae and Chiori, characters that already reach out and touch. And, of course, Neuv beam.
I think you're overestimating Kazuha's crowd control, we're getting more units whose range and AoE are really good, thus reducing value on CC, and there's enemies immune to even Kazuha's pull, so his CC loses even more value, as opposed to Xilonen's healing which already makes her a strong candidate for Furina comps, as good as Kazuha's CC is, if CC was all that needed in nowadays Abyss, Freeze comp would still be meta, but look where we at right now.
@@APcGamer if my c1r1 are hits 3 1 million hp enemies instead of 1 it's effectively 3x DMG. In no world provides Xilonen 3 times the DMG than kazuha in such an example
Anddad I think you're incorrect on her Geo Res Shred, please double check it. Because the description of her skill quite clearly says "When Xilonen is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, the Geo Source Sample she carries will remain active throughout." That means you press her skill and already reducing Geo Res, she remains in her Nightsoul Blessing state for 9 seconds. Triple Geo Xilonen shreds Geo by default. for only 9 seconds but still does. I might be wrong of course, but check that info, description on her skill couldn't be more clear
What you stated means that Xilonen gives geo res shred when she's in Nightsoul's Blessing. This is correct. However, Xilonen is only in Nightsoul's Blessing while she's on field after using her skill. And this lasts for 9 seconds. If you swap out, she exits Nightsoul's Blessing. Thus, at C0, a triple Geo comp would only give Geo res when you're on-fielding XIlonen. The new C2 allows you to activate Geo res for the team, allowing Xilonen to act as an offield support.

Why do you say the resistance reduction is over? Because the night soul state only ends when she points or uses the skill again, but swapping characters will not disappear.
@@Afflict3d if you play navia with two other units that are pyro, cryo, hydro, or electro, c0 xilonen will buff Navia (Navia - Xilo - Bennett - Xiangling for instance)
I’m actually glad of these changes. I know some of her value could be locked up behind c2 but still at c0r1 she is incredibly strong. I’m also looking forward to using her with my Navia C2, so the crit change to damage was very useful as I’m already at 100% crit with her. Lastly, the damage change was massive. There was not a real need for the crit buffs as she is not intended to be a dps. Instead, she got more buffing to the entire team ❤. I’m just hoping they don’t end up reverting these changes or nerfing her.

Kazuha can never swirl pyro against hydro tulupa , no res shred nd no damg bonus . It doesn’t even need cc , hydro tulupa was in the abyss many times for past yr . Same can be said for hydro slimes. Atleast xilonen can res shred nd heal with guarantee on all enemies
I kinda wished that her Burst mechanic can change a bit that she can do both do Geo Dmg and Heal at the same time even if they are more than 2 Geo characters. However, the multiplier with her Heal and Geo Dmg increases depending on her elemental team lineup such as:- More PHEC units - Increased Healing, More Non-PHEC units - Increased Geo Dmg, This way, she can still at least work with both PHEC and Geo teams. But hey, that's just me being biased. Right now, Xilonen is looking pretty solid.
I think multiple samplers can be infused by the same element to get the heals. You'll just have to be carefull not to infuse the 3rd sampler with anything so it remains geo

Mono geo still IS a team though with a bunch of characters centered around that. She didn’t need to be strictly on mono geo but locking her usability on that team behind c2 is insane when the team is already in bad shape

@@Julsies_ took hoyo almost three years to release a follow up to Itto. We didn't need another Albedo 😢. We needed a geo element buffer. Gorou is litteraly to blame for Geos problems. Comparing him to Faru, Shenhe and even Chevvy is night and day. Less raw stats and more restrictive. Like why couldn't he res shred instead of a def boost. Would've achieved the same goal. Of all the Elements Geo a needs a universal buffer the most. Missed opportunity. Itto and Chioris numbers are good, they just don't have access to good unrestricted buffers. Like litteraly every other dps and sub dps character in the game. At this point I'm convinced Hoyo doesn't know what to do with the element. Ever tried playing a c0 Nuv without Kazuha or Furina. It's pretty meh.

People would still use Zhongli even though there's better res shredders. His shield is the important part of the kit. Gorou 100% needs to be power crept.
With actual xilonen you don't nerf any character and powercreep excessively anything either, like neuvi teams you can also play both together, also I love how she would fit in my Navia team with that favonius hahaha
Without C2 they are only active while she is in the nightsoul state. Which turns off when switched off field. So they will only work with her as the on field dps.
Because we and me too already have kazuha to do literally the exact same job. And we have been asking for a proper geo buffer for years. I personally am not mad just disappointed

People are getting xilonen's kit wrong. She shreds geo resistence even at c0 and no, she doesn't need to stay on field to do that. It's the other way around: if you stay infield, for the onfield duration, her samples can't go into elemental (cryo, pyro, hydro, electro) conversion while she's onfield and in night blessing state. Here's how it actually works: She has 3 samples. By default, those are geo (all 3 of em). Every sample shreds elemental resistence according to its own element. They can't stack (so, even if you have all 3 geo samples, the shred is still 38% at level 10 talent). The samples gets converted by simply having other elements in the team (example: you have her + arlecchino + Bennet + furina, the samples will be as follow: 2 pyro samples and one hydro samples. Because elements take priority over geo). To keep at least one geo sample, all you have to do is have another geo with xilonen. Example, if the team gets changed into Arlecchino + Bennet + chiori, the samples will be: two pyro, one geo. The samples get actived (prompting the res shred) when xilonen enters night blessing state and maxes it (basically use skill and two normal attacks: her passive will max her blessing). At this point, the res shred starts, for 15 seconds. But, until xilonen gets out of the field, only the geo sample will be activated. So, if you do two normal attacks and switch, in the example above you will have geo shred, pyro shred and hydro shred. If you're in mono geo, you'll only get geo shred, regardless if she's on field or off field. This was probably done to avoid on field dps xilonen being way too broken, powering up cracked off field dps like furina and xiangling while still dealing big geo damage. This system basically makes is so you can only buff the on field pyro/hydro/electro/cryo dps and 2 offielders MAX (since xilonen doesn't do off field damage). Let's say you want to go cheesy and pair your on field dps xilonen with xq, yelan and furina. Without this system, all 3 hydro units would be buffed xilonen's kit while she on fields, and further buffer by the new artifact set thanks to crystallize constantly getting procc'ed, with virtually 100% interruption resistence on top (thanks to crystallize shields constantly being refreshed). I'd say that would be supremely broken.
you're correct where a team like Arle-Bennett-Chiori-XIlo gives you the 15s of off-field geo res shred. But a mono-Geo comp DOES NOT get geo res shred when XIlonen is off-field. SInce you can't activate any of her samplers in mono-Geo, the only res shred available is when XIlonen enter's Nightsoul's Blessing with her skill, where the geo sampler is active during this time. Nightsoul's Blessing only lasts 9 sec max, and if Xilonen swaps out, Nightsoul's Blessing ends. Thus, the only way you can take advantage of this is main DPS xilonen.

Not trying to question you, but nowhere in the elemental skill's description it's stated that she won't activate the geo samples unless there are at least two other elements in the team, only that during her on field skill time the geo sample will always remain active. When a kit is element-locked, they always stated it clearly in the descriptions (example: nilou and chevrouse). Either her kit is misunderstood by most or hoyo did a terrible job describing it.

She has three samplers, they can change to a different element corresponding to the elements of your party members. These samplers will activate when her gets max Nightsoul. This can only happen if she has 2 PHEC party members. If you have 3 geo members, you cannot increase your nightsoul guage because the a1 passive isn't active, so they can't activate the geo samplers for 15sec off-field geo res

Yes, she does need work in a Neuvillette/Furina/Kazuha team. She needs 2 characters that are Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo. They can be of the same element, though if you have 2 Hydro then res shred won't stack, but basic shred and her healing will still work. Basically Neuvillette/Furina/Kazuha/Xilonen will be the new monster meta team.
She has 3 samples. Each will take on the element of a teammate, if said teammate is a PECHs (pyro, electro, cryo, hydro). So 2 hydro, 1 anemo, and her will result in 2 hydro samples and 1 geo. If you drop Kaz for Xiangling, you will have 2 hydro, 1 pyro. Note that while you can have 2 hydro samples, the resist debuff that occurs while the samples are active will not stack. It'll only apply 1x per element (so 2 hydro, 1 pyro = hydro and pyro debuffed by the same amount, 36% at talent level 10). And then based on whether geo is more or less than half of the samples, a few things like her burst and passive behave differently.
Xilonen being a better buffer than Furina at c0 is wild 😂 I remember the first time we saw her I kept saying that even if she was Dehya tier I would pull but look where we are now

It will, you have 2 hydro that apply their element to the samplers so you'll have hydro/hydro/geo samplers debuff for 15s (after skill + 2 normal attacks from xilonen). The problem was with teams that don't have 2 PECH (like 2 geo, 1 PECH, 1 anemo). While not optimal without gorou, the team you described should work with C0 xilonen.
@@AlwaysThirstys it’s less so about the energy management and more so smoothening the rotation after killing all the marked enemies from Nahida’s skill. Since his burst will generally be back up quicker, it’s less of a dps loss, especially how fast Cyno procs aggravate and how fast he kills the enemy
Ok can someone explain this confusion: for example if a pyro character exists, is it the only one that gets the 40% atk or this feature is generally activated and the whole team benefits of it?
I’d rather she be a sub-dps/support hybrid that I can make a viable DPS with the right investment. Now I’ll almost never see the damn character if I’m doing anything meaningful.
Man, I want to like Geo, but they done it so dirty every time, minus Navia recently (and that's only because she doesn't need to be locked into Geo DEF% to work). To me, Xilonen is like Yun Jin in terms of being "Geo". At a glance, they look like a Geo character, but in reality, they are just an orange Anemo unit that likes DEF% instead of EM.
I think she works with mono geo even in her c0. her default samplers are 3 geo, If she met the requirements just like the PECH then she can res shred geo.
Not worth it, you are getting an extra 20% res with 5% extra damage if you are running with petra. Kachina is actually an upgrade over both zhongli and xilonen because she buffs less than zhongli and xilonen but has much more conistent stack generation.
her kit along with the new support artifact set in natlan incentivises her to make a crystallize reaction. she's good for double geo + PECH teams rather than a mono geo at c0
I mean you already have zhongli and gorou (c4) as a pseudo healer so her c2 isnt that necessary. Thich zhongli shield and gorous healing is already more than enough to sustain the team
@@Patrap11 That's incorrect. It's the resist debuffs that are triggered when the samples are active. Before C2, she'll want 2 PECHs on the team, so she can generate nightsoul points with a couple of melees. With C2, they're just active, removing that need. As far as mono-geo goes, she deals damage and will not heal, either with or without c2.
@@Axterix13 No, only the geo samplers are always active. The only thing it change is that now she should be able to support other geo character with her debuff while off-field. In case of PECH team, it doesn't change anything (except maybe Albedo damage if you're a weirdo playing him).

That’s the effect of Natlan Burst, one of the three Natlan-based mechanics, which is really a prerequisite marker to activate skills for Natlan characters, specifically their A4s. You can’t turn it off because you kinda do need to know if you are benefitting from the A4 effects

good. anything to avoid the literal curse of mono geo with gorou's dumb restrictions. though i kinda wished she buffed itto, Navia seems fine due to how you can just slot her in anywhere with whatever 2 elements + Xilonen. Itto is honestly hurt by gorou's BS.and i also found an issue. who do you replace? as while xilonen buffs itto's personal damage it better make up for losing chiori to make sure it's not like a sizeable loss. and losing ZL means you're losing survivability and the only form of survivability in mono geo without ZL is gorou's pseudo healing which might be enough but it might not seem reliable as gorou probably wants a cr circlet to proc fav to work and also possibly exile since chiori's particle generation seems lesser.

Nah, I still will not pull for her. I don't really like Geo units and like I've skipped Kazuha for years, I finally have found abother character I can skip out of principle.
I still think Xilonen will be able to work as a main DPS, although I now have questions on how fast nightsoul points decrease when she is in the blessing state. If she is not able to stay in the blessing state for the full 9 seconds while attacking then it will make a Main DPS playstyle unviable. Regardless, the changes to her weapon and C2 do hint that Hoyoverse is indeed pushing the Support Style much harder. Xilonen is also continuing a trend that started in Fontaine in which 5* characters get major buffs from early constellations. The signature weapon getting buffed for Xilonen reminds me of Emilie's signature weapon in terms of drastically better than other options. I actually hope in later beta updates they buff Xilonen's normals and burst a bit more, so her viability as a main DPS is improved. I think her abilities as a support are fine as they are now.
This may be a hot take, but im so mad at how they designed Xilonen’s kit, like she is literally the perfect opportunity to finally be the massive geo buff we wanted but her cinder city artifact set and she needing 2 Pyro/Hydro/Cryo/Electro party members for her debuffs/buffs to activate means that she won’t work with Navia in certain teams before C2, and regardless of constellation she just straight up doesn’t work in a Mono Geo team, this team being Itto, Chiori, Gorou and Xilonen, aka the "dream team" for Itto and Chiori havers IF she could actually heal and proc cinder city in that team, and again she needs C2 to even activate her f-ing buff/debuff in that team

And yeah, for Itto’s personal dmg Itto, Xilonen, Gorou and Zhongli would be his BiS team (if Xilonen worked in that team, as i mentioned above she kind of doesn’t), but taking out Zhongli for Chiori is just more fun so that’s why i mentioned the Itto and Chiori team instead lol

I don't think xilonen will be that good because she is melee while neuv is ranged, she has 4 seconds of setup while kazuha and kachina have 2-1.

I think a lot of you again underestimate Kazuha's Grouping and own dmg + elemental application. Surely if all you do is fight a single target Boss then Xilonen takes the W as soon as u have r1 or c2 any day of the week, but in Abyss grouping enemies together is such a goated ability
That depends a lot on what dps you're using because not all dps need grouping. But yeah, each have their points, it's just that in raw numbers xilonen is just better if you have either c2 or weapon, but that's already more than most will have
I mean Kazuha needs grouping coz his buff is 8 seconds only, the artifact is 20 seconds and the weapon is 6 sec (ramp up) and 15 sec (buff duration) with that long duration, you dont need to group enemies with that long duration
@@Ihatefoodbuffs Even with a long duration, grouping up enemies is a massive DPS boost. If you hit 3 enemies, and I hit 1, you're doing 3x the damage. Furthermore, after I kill my one, I now have to run over to the next one. That time spent moving costs damage. And all the while the enemy isn't dead, it is doing stuff to me. And there's one other big consideration: Circle Impact and its near neighbors...Mualani tagging, Ayaka burst cone, that sort of thing. Heck, lack of a physical friendly grouper is one of the many reasons why Eula is lackluster... all her damage focused on that burst, but no grouper on the team and enemies are free to move in that 6s of charging.
That said, Xil will pair nicely with the likes of Yae and Chiori, characters that already reach out and touch. And, of course, Neuv beam.
I think you're overestimating Kazuha's crowd control, we're getting more units whose range and AoE are really good, thus reducing value on CC, and there's enemies immune to even Kazuha's pull, so his CC loses even more value, as opposed to Xilonen's healing which already makes her a strong candidate for Furina comps, as good as Kazuha's CC is, if CC was all that needed in nowadays Abyss, Freeze comp would still be meta, but look where we at right now.
@@APcGamer if my c1r1 are hits 3 1 million hp enemies instead of 1 it's effectively 3x DMG. In no world provides Xilonen 3 times the DMG than kazuha in such an example
Anddad I think you're incorrect on her Geo Res Shred, please double check it. Because the description of her skill quite clearly says "When Xilonen is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, the Geo Source Sample she carries will remain active throughout." That means you press her skill and already reducing Geo Res, she remains in her Nightsoul Blessing state for 9 seconds. Triple Geo Xilonen shreds Geo by default. for only 9 seconds but still does. I might be wrong of course, but check that info, description on her skill couldn't be more clear

What you stated means that Xilonen gives geo res shred when she's in Nightsoul's Blessing. This is correct. However, Xilonen is only in Nightsoul's Blessing while she's on field after using her skill. And this lasts for 9 seconds. If you swap out, she exits Nightsoul's Blessing. Thus, at C0, a triple Geo comp would only give Geo res when you're on-fielding XIlonen. The new C2 allows you to activate Geo res for the team, allowing Xilonen to act as an offield support.

Why do you say the resistance reduction is over? Because the night soul state only ends when she points or uses the skill again, but swapping characters will not disappear.

I’m actually glad of these changes. I know some of her value could be locked up behind c2 but still at c0r1 she is incredibly strong. I’m also looking forward to using her with my Navia C2, so the crit change to damage was very useful as I’m already at 100% crit with her.
Lastly, the damage change was massive. There was not a real need for the crit buffs as she is not intended to be a dps. Instead, she got more buffing to the entire team ❤. I’m just hoping they don’t end up reverting these changes or nerfing her.

Kazuha can never swirl pyro against hydro tulupa , no res shred nd no damg bonus . It doesn’t even need cc , hydro tulupa was in the abyss many times for past yr . Same can be said for hydro slimes. Atleast xilonen can res shred nd heal with guarantee on all enemies

I kinda wished that her Burst mechanic can change a bit that she can do both do Geo Dmg and Heal at the same time even if they are more than 2 Geo characters. However, the multiplier with her Heal and Geo Dmg increases depending on her elemental team lineup such as:-
More PHEC units - Increased Healing,
More Non-PHEC units - Increased Geo Dmg,
This way, she can still at least work with both PHEC and Geo teams. But hey, that's just me being biased. Right now, Xilonen is looking pretty solid.
I think multiple samplers can be infused by the same element to get the heals.
You'll just have to be carefull not to infuse the 3rd sampler with anything so it remains geo

Mono geo still IS a team though with a bunch of characters centered around that. She didn’t need to be strictly on mono geo but locking her usability on that team behind c2 is insane when the team is already in bad shape

@@Julsies_ took hoyo almost three years to release a follow up to Itto. We didn't need another Albedo 😢. We needed a geo element buffer. Gorou is litteraly to blame for Geos problems. Comparing him to Faru, Shenhe and even Chevvy is night and day. Less raw stats and more restrictive. Like why couldn't he res shred instead of a def boost. Would've achieved the same goal. Of all the Elements Geo a needs a universal buffer the most. Missed opportunity. Itto and Chioris numbers are good, they just don't have access to good unrestricted buffers. Like litteraly every other dps and sub dps character in the game. At this point I'm convinced Hoyo doesn't know what to do with the element. Ever tried playing a c0 Nuv without Kazuha or Furina. It's pretty meh.

with c2, only geo res shred will always be active. you still need to meet the element check to shred the other elements
People are getting xilonen's kit wrong. She shreds geo resistence even at c0 and no, she doesn't need to stay on field to do that. It's the other way around: if you stay infield, for the onfield duration, her samples can't go into elemental (cryo, pyro, hydro, electro) conversion while she's onfield and in night blessing state.
Here's how it actually works:
She has 3 samples.
By default, those are geo (all 3 of em).
Every sample shreds elemental resistence according to its own element.
They can't stack (so, even if you have all 3 geo samples, the shred is still 38% at level 10 talent).
The samples gets converted by simply having other elements in the team (example: you have her + arlecchino + Bennet + furina, the samples will be as follow: 2 pyro samples and one hydro samples. Because elements take priority over geo).
To keep at least one geo sample, all you have to do is have another geo with xilonen. Example, if the team gets changed into Arlecchino + Bennet + chiori, the samples will be: two pyro, one geo.
The samples get actived (prompting the res shred) when xilonen enters night blessing state and maxes it (basically use skill and two normal attacks: her passive will max her blessing).
At this point, the res shred starts, for 15 seconds. But, until xilonen gets out of the field, only the geo sample will be activated. So, if you do two normal attacks and switch, in the example above you will have geo shred, pyro shred and hydro shred.
If you're in mono geo, you'll only get geo shred, regardless if she's on field or off field.
This was probably done to avoid on field dps xilonen being way too broken, powering up cracked off field dps like furina and xiangling while still dealing big geo damage.
This system basically makes is so you can only buff the on field pyro/hydro/electro/cryo dps and 2 offielders MAX (since xilonen doesn't do off field damage). Let's say you want to go cheesy and pair your on field dps xilonen with xq, yelan and furina. Without this system, all 3 hydro units would be buffed xilonen's kit while she on fields, and further buffer by the new artifact set thanks to crystallize constantly getting procc'ed, with virtually 100% interruption resistence on top (thanks to crystallize shields constantly being refreshed). I'd say that would be supremely broken.
you're correct where a team like Arle-Bennett-Chiori-XIlo gives you the 15s of off-field geo res shred. But a mono-Geo comp DOES NOT get geo res shred when XIlonen is off-field. SInce you can't activate any of her samplers in mono-Geo, the only res shred available is when XIlonen enter's Nightsoul's Blessing with her skill, where the geo sampler is active during this time. Nightsoul's Blessing only lasts 9 sec max, and if Xilonen swaps out, Nightsoul's Blessing ends. Thus, the only way you can take advantage of this is main DPS xilonen.

Not trying to question you, but nowhere in the elemental skill's description it's stated that she won't activate the geo samples unless there are at least two other elements in the team, only that during her on field skill time the geo sample will always remain active. When a kit is element-locked, they always stated it clearly in the descriptions (example: nilou and chevrouse). Either her kit is misunderstood by most or hoyo did a terrible job describing it.

She has three samplers, they can change to a different element corresponding to the elements of your party members. These samplers will activate when her gets max Nightsoul. This can only happen if she has 2 PHEC party members. If you have 3 geo members, you cannot increase your nightsoul guage because the a1 passive isn't active, so they can't activate the geo samplers for 15sec off-field geo res

Yes, she does need work in a Neuvillette/Furina/Kazuha team. She needs 2 characters that are Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo. They can be of the same element, though if you have 2 Hydro then res shred won't stack, but basic shred and her healing will still work. Basically Neuvillette/Furina/Kazuha/Xilonen will be the new monster meta team.
She has 3 samples. Each will take on the element of a teammate, if said teammate is a PECHs (pyro, electro, cryo, hydro). So 2 hydro, 1 anemo, and her will result in 2 hydro samples and 1 geo. If you drop Kaz for Xiangling, you will have 2 hydro, 1 pyro. Note that while you can have 2 hydro samples, the resist debuff that occurs while the samples are active will not stack. It'll only apply 1x per element (so 2 hydro, 1 pyro = hydro and pyro debuffed by the same amount, 36% at talent level 10).
And then based on whether geo is more or less than half of the samples, a few things like her burst and passive behave differently.

It will, you have 2 hydro that apply their element to the samplers so you'll have hydro/hydro/geo samplers debuff for 15s (after skill + 2 normal attacks from xilonen). The problem was with teams that don't have 2 PECH (like 2 geo, 1 PECH, 1 anemo). While not optimal without gorou, the team you described should work with C0 xilonen.

@@AlwaysThirstys it’s less so about the energy management and more so smoothening the rotation after killing all the marked enemies from Nahida’s skill. Since his burst will generally be back up quicker, it’s less of a dps loss, especially how fast Cyno procs aggravate and how fast he kills the enemy

Man, I want to like Geo, but they done it so dirty every time, minus Navia recently (and that's only because she doesn't need to be locked into Geo DEF% to work). To me, Xilonen is like Yun Jin in terms of being "Geo". At a glance, they look like a Geo character, but in reality, they are just an orange Anemo unit that likes DEF% instead of EM.
I'll pull Xilonen Weapon for Albedo but still Albedo needs a rework.

Not worth it, you are getting an extra 20% res with 5% extra damage if you are running with petra. Kachina is actually an upgrade over both zhongli and xilonen because she buffs less than zhongli and xilonen but has much more conistent stack generation.

C6 Furina is the strongest dps Archon

@@Patrap11 That's incorrect. It's the resist debuffs that are triggered when the samples are active. Before C2, she'll want 2 PECHs on the team, so she can generate nightsoul points with a couple of melees. With C2, they're just active, removing that need.
As far as mono-geo goes, she deals damage and will not heal, either with or without c2.

That’s the effect of Natlan Burst, one of the three Natlan-based mechanics, which is really a prerequisite marker to activate skills for Natlan characters, specifically their A4s. You can’t turn it off because you kinda do need to know if you are benefitting from the A4 effects

and losing ZL means you're losing survivability and the only form of survivability in mono geo without ZL is gorou's pseudo healing which might be enough but it might not seem reliable as gorou probably wants a cr circlet to proc fav to work and also possibly exile since chiori's particle generation seems lesser.

She can be if you run her mono geo. Mono geo makes xilonen deal more damage and non mono geo makes her a healer.

I still think Xilonen will be able to work as a main DPS, although I now have questions on how fast nightsoul points decrease when she is in the blessing state. If she is not able to stay in the blessing state for the full 9 seconds while attacking then it will make a Main DPS playstyle unviable.
Regardless, the changes to her weapon and C2 do hint that Hoyoverse is indeed pushing the Support Style much harder. Xilonen is also continuing a trend that started in Fontaine in which 5* characters get major buffs from early constellations. The signature weapon getting buffed for Xilonen reminds me of Emilie's signature weapon in terms of drastically better than other options.
I actually hope in later beta updates they buff Xilonen's normals and burst a bit more, so her viability as a main DPS is improved. I think her abilities as a support are fine as they are now.

This may be a hot take, but im so mad at how they designed Xilonen’s kit, like she is literally the perfect opportunity to finally be the massive geo buff we wanted but her cinder city artifact set and she needing 2 Pyro/Hydro/Cryo/Electro party members for her debuffs/buffs to activate means that she won’t work with Navia in certain teams before C2, and regardless of constellation she just straight up doesn’t work in a Mono Geo team, this team being Itto, Chiori, Gorou and Xilonen, aka the "dream team" for Itto and Chiori havers IF she could actually heal and proc cinder city in that team, and again she needs C2 to even activate her f-ing buff/debuff in that team
Navia/Xilonen/Furina/Bennett there you go, you'll have all the buffs you need in that team.

Besides, she will actually work in mono Geo, she just won't heal. She will shred Geo res regardless of who is in the team.
Actually new bis mono Geo team will be Itto/Xilonen/Gorou/Zhongli.
@@SwieczkaNiweaniewierzeDarek She will only shred the geo resistance off-field regardless of who is in the team at C2, and on top of that since that is a mono-element team she can’t activate the cinder city buff unless you’re fighting enemies that naturally have an elemental aura on them.
And yeah, for Itto’s personal dmg Itto, Xilonen, Gorou and Zhongli would be his BiS team (if Xilonen worked in that team, as i mentioned above she kind of doesn’t), but taking out Zhongli for Chiori is just more fun so that’s why i mentioned the Itto and Chiori team instead lol

If you really want to use Chiori in that team then I guess you could swap her with Gorou and then add Bennett to buff her atk. But then again, Itto doesn't really want to be separated from Gorou, but I'm guessing Xilonen's buff will be enough for him to do big damage.

Navia was giving me breath of fresh air bcs finally a Geo DPS that doesn't need Def and mono Geo support BS. I can pair her with Xilonen to make more interesting team.
