Not too bad on the smoke. I normally cook on 350 degrees. One time I did crank it up all the way and threw some steaks on and the wife was yelling. You can also set it in your stove so you have the exhaust hood above it. You would love this griddle for sure. I have a link in the description for it. Check it out.
