School of Saberfighting is one of the first teams in the world that specialises in public performance of duels inspired by Star Wars, and also provides training for those who wish to learn this form of stage fencing.
Many of our trainees have won the highest stage fencing athletic titles in various Russian championships, and acted in fencing combat scenes in theatre and films. They also collaborated with a Combat Choreographer from Hollywood, and performed during the World Fencing Championship 2015.

That guy who plays Anakin synchronized his every move with Anakin on the background screen perfectly. His hand moves exactly at the same time with Hayden, he even turns his head every time with flawless timing. I wonder if he uses the Force, or there is some other screen on the other side.

Vader vs Kenobi in the season finale was epic, but there is something special about the Mustafar battle. This duel will forever be remembered as the greatest duel in Star Wars canon. You guys did a great job!

@Shambles in fairness aiming for the Saber is because they can sense what eachothers next move will be and they're usually trying not to die (minus a few scenes I remember in original trilogy movies.. but since that was just technical limitations it should slide)
@@BlankBlonk While this may be true, they aren't *always* going for the saber. They really just mean that they're selling the fight well, making it seem like they're actually doing so instead of just looking like they're giggling school children playing with sticks. I get what you mean, but still...lore means nothing in the context of this. Even in the movies, it looks like they're *actually* trying to kill one another.
Can’t imagine the hard work put into the performance, amazing job, really fun to watch.

@@kristopherryanwatson As cringey as people may find it, you have to admit this took some serious practice and memorization.

I’ve always wanted to do this but never had the time watching it is magic, makes me wonder why Disney doesn’t offer these shows at their theme parks
Because that would be too cool.
Because Disney doesn't understand what a great duel is. They really reckon that what they did in episodes 7-9 are cool duels.
They do actually, the choreography itself isn’t as grand though, and the closest to doing it yourself is when the kids get to fight Vader and so on

Brilliant (for what they were working with) the combat was so fluent they didnt over do it and when they were going to transfer the special effects they had in the movie over to real life it looked great 9/10

I dont know maybe an old trick like a line attached to the lightsaber and that line is one a device on his wrist that roll it back pretty fast. This is how i would do it.
or a heavy magnet or something (with heavy i dont mean the weight but the attraction)

Пересматривал ваше выступление перед оркестром, и сразу заметно, что ваше джедайское мастерство выросло
С оркестром ещё условия были сильно сложнее, очень мало рабочего пространства, довольно тусклое освещение, приходилось работать на более коротком оружии, на более низкой скорости, немного вслепую, и вообще сильно аккуратнее. Попасть по кому-нибудь из музыкантов на живом выступлении было бы былинным провалом. Но да, движения за три года должны были стать отточеннее в целом.
If it was in real-life star wars it would be insane this performance was on point. I loved the performance it was very entertaining and very fun to watch and it makes me feel excited when they just bash those lightsabers into each other. great job guys, you made a great show. 😄
