I'm starting in a cosmetology program in high school in the fall and I'm very excited. When we went there for a look into the programs, I tried cos and I got to section hair on a mannequin and just fell in love. I'm trying to build my knowledge before I start so I have a bit of an advantage. This video was awesome and it's my goal to be this comfortable and do this someday!
I watch these types of videos because I really want to be a cosmetologist but I don’t want to only learn white hair I want to learn black hair as well(natural hair) I’m a Junior in high school and at this moment I’m stuck on cosmetology and esthetician as my career choices 😩😩😩
Make a pros and cons list, whatever has the most pros at the end you can see if that makes you sad or happy that it went in that direction ,if that makes since.
Most cosmetology schools only show the foundation, basics, and sanitization aspects of doing hair. But being licensed is a REQUIREMENT to LEGALLY do hair and work in a salon REGARDLESS. Whether you go to Cosmo school or not, you'll have to take specific classes from different girls who specialize in the styles you want to learn. It takes time and money to make money but those who put in the most effort get the best results. Good luck! ♥️
Glad to know I’m not the only person that eats cotton candy ice cream!!!! I enjoyed your video also, you just earned a new subscriber. I’m 14 rn but I wanna go to cosmetology school when I get older 😭💕
I had graduated cosmetology three years ago in Georgia but trying my best to be licensed here in nyc Uggghhh I just feel so unmotivated but it’s my passion and that’s what I want to do any tips You can give me
Do you have to have a lot of knowledge before starting cosmetology school? Also do you get to practice, I don’t know how to put it but like different ethnicity’s of hair…?
It’s really helps to have some sort of knowledge of hair before you start cosmetology school but it’s ok if you don’t. I don’t know how other schools work but my school works more on straight or wavy hair and not so much curly hair, but you can still learn by taking some classes outside of cosmetology school or UA-cam helps a lot as well with working with coarse hair.
At my school, we get all types of clients with different types of hair so it definitely gives you practice and experience! You don’t have to have a lot of knowledge, you’re there to learn!
