I was legal, I spoke, read,wrote fluent English and French, I was a college grad., I had needed special skills and went to work withing a few days. I moved here because I knew it to be the absolute best game in the world, and I still thank Americans for the PRIVILEGE of allowing me to live, WORK, pay my taxes, and raise a family here. Thanks Chip Roy for standing up for what the overwhelming majority of Americans want. I lived in China, Russia and Ukraine many years. I was certainly not permitted to vote in their elections. I also couldn’t hold a job unless I proved a local couldn’t do that job. The American trucking industry is dying due to Bidens program to bring foreigners in to fill a so-called driver shortage. Now we have foreigners not following the rules making our roads unsafe. We also have an overcapacity of drivers/trucks which is driving the freight rates down. We need a law to stop foreigners from holding jobs that Americans can fill. Protect our jobs please!!

When l grew up being a legal citizen of the USA was an honor and valued by citizens. Now as Mr. ROY says it is being made to mean nothing.
I am English , born and bred. I have not voted in a UK election for a long time but I just had to vote in the latest General Election.
I had to officially register my details . Then I had confirmation that I was now registered to vote. I was given details of where I could vote. There was only one place /address given to me. I could not go to a different polling station.
On the day of voting I had to take some form of ID with me. So I took my passport. When I got to the polling station I had to show my passport and state my name and address ,which was checked to see if I was on the list. It was only then that I was given a ballot paper and allowed to vote.
In all this I never felt that it was intrusive or an infringement on my right to vote.
There shouldn't even be a question about this. Only American Citizens should vote!!!

Wow Mr Roy, amazing speech. I moved as a legal resident from El Salvador in early 1982, due to the civil war in my country. My father had come to the USA early in the sixties and applied and got his residency. In spite of having a horrible war, my Mother told my father, that she wouldn't move to the USA without being a legal resident, she would not put herself and her kids through a horrible border pass. But since my dad had had the presence of mind in the sixties we were able to come legal. Each day we thank God for the USA, we pray and are saddened to see what has happened to our adoptive country with a backwards mentality. As soon as we grew a bit more my dad told us to become citizens, to study and contribute positively to our new country. We love the USA.

What’s funny is that in my town where I pay my taxes I did not have the right to vote for building construction in the center of town, it was only for those who live in the town and are US citizens… That means my parents who pay taxes and their house who became US citizens in 1999 had the right to vote. I live in the same town and again I pay taxes for State Federal in my town, but I had no hair say on the building of the new construction in the center of town. I am sick and tired of illegals getting benefits. When my family came here, we didn’t get anything for free. We worked our hard ass off to get what America has to offer with hard work and perseverance.

It used to be that way until COVID. The govt used that as the excuse during election primaries leading to election of POTUS. Another good example of why COVID was unleashed.
