- Fender Custom Shop '60s Stratocasters, Supro Tremo-Verb & Blues Junior IV Amp (Adam Lee & Rob)
Hey guys,
This week's 'Focus On Sound' episode from Regent Sounds, brings you a review of two Fender Custom Shop '60s Stratocasters. These are stunning guitars, with monstrous tone, aesthetic and feel, to boot. Rob is playing a 1962 shell pink strat with Poblano pickups in it, and I'm playing a beautiful Candy Tangerine over 3-Tone Sunburst guitar.
We played through both a Fender Blues Junior and Supro Tremo-Verb amp this week, and mic'd them with the new V7 series dynamic mics from sE Electronics, along with a pair of sE 5 pencil mics, to record the room sound.

Thanks so much, Will! Rob is a monster musician (Jamie, too) - great fun playing alongside him. Never a shortage of huge riffs! Loved these guitars. Particularly the pink one that was snapped up shortly after we filmed this. :(

Never thought I’d like pink but I really like a slightly relic’d shell pink strat oddly more than tangerine. I love candy apple red too, relic’d.

I am new to this guitar jam thing. I’ve been practicing for a year and I am naturally picking up bits and pieces of scales and soloing. Every guitarist has their own way of jamming. It would dope to understand how your groove

Hey I would like to ask you a question about the player series strat because I‘m about to buy one. I read that the neck pickup is lacking presence, is it true? If so, is it possible to dial it in with an amp? Nice vid btw!!!
Thanks for watching, Mike! I would direct you to our video with the Player Series guitars. You will see that this is far from true! The Player Strat has a lower output set of pickups which - to my ears - makes them very dynamic, and super musical. Don't hesitate about getting one. They are amazing!
