I resonate with this. I have items that I've connected with guides through. I see them as a contact point I usually ask why I've been contacted through an individual item or why they prefer one over the other. But yeah,I see an item as a place to build a connection, it's been my experiences that the more I connect with a specific entity through a specific item, the stronger that connection tends to be. It's training my brain to be in a receptive state but also having a physical item makes communication feel more tangible. I hope this makes sense. It's also just my experience, I love that these experiences are as varied as there are people willing to explore them

Yesss, I find that items can almost be "altars" or "portals" of sorts once that connection is built over time (another image I've seen is like each time the connection happens, another small thread is wound into a rope that is stronger/less breakable).
