If A is clear ahead of B(both on port) , and A need to tack rounding a mark, must A remain straight till B tacks to avoid B collide s into A

Rule 18 (mark-room) also applies here. If A was clear ahead when entering the zone, she is not required to give mark-room to B. If so, then A can tack to round the mark and B must keep clear.
