Hi Ksymena, thanks for watching and welcome to the Mooncake community! So glad you have been enjoying the videos, I hope the channel can inspire some ideas for your classes 😊
Hi Jema, I love the way you introduce the activities to teach the concept. I think that sometimes is way tougher to introduce the attention catcher than the concept itself (the teddy bear for this case), as the language that we use is sometimes unknown to students. I would love to have your advice for this case, so how would it be a significant way to introduce that teddy bear to the class? Thanks, I learn with your videos much!
Hi Christian, thanks for watching, I'm so glad the channel has been helpful! A few viewers have been asking about how to introduce activities to students, so I think I will try to make a video explaining that in the future. In this case however, the teddy shouldn't be too difficult to introduce. I always keep my language limited to two to five words and repeat every thing three times. I would introduce teddy and have the class say hello or good morning, then have teddy ask a few students "how are you?" and have a few students reply. I would then have the whole class ask Teddy how he is, he would then whisper in my ear that he is sick. You can act sad and cough to help students follow along. If they really don't understand the word 'sick' however, you can also use a flashcard to help. I hope that helps inspire a way for you to introduce teddy to your class!

Hello teach, do you have some fun activities in recognizing letters where students (kindergarten students) can easily remember what letter it is.. I'm an ESL teacher and I've been teaching letters for almost 1week, still student can't recognize it🙁.. Even though I repeated it all over, Plus because of language barrier, I don't know what to do just for them to recognize letters.

Letter recognition takes time and lots of repetition. At first it will feel like they're never learning but don't give up. You'll find that one day they suddenly remember what you've been teaching. Sometimes they'll remember today and forget tomorrow. Don't just teach the letter and forget about it. Go back to the letter from time to time and always look for ways to remind them. Point out the letters, number, shapes etc you see on a daily basis around the class, school and outside. After a while they'll point them out before you can even say anything.
Great idea, except I'm going to think of something besides medicine balls. I don't want the kids to think it's ok to take 6 vitamin gummies or 6 gummi tylenol or something...
