Chicagoans, as a rule, has very low voter turnouts. So, they've been voting for The Couch for a very long time when instead, there has to be a Plan B whereby we are running candidates that will actually represent the constituency.

I'm seeing people in both of my neighborhoods I've never seen before (migrants). It's like a migrant boom
I as a Chicagoan, can certify what my fellow Chicagoans are saying. After the 2008 housing crash, and people were losing their homes left and right to the bankers and what followed was red "R's" being put on homes all throughout our neighborhoods. The 'RED R's' means Marked For Demolition. These were beautiful brownstones on my block chopped down and never replaced. The city doesn't even maintain the grounds after they've razed the property.
I drive over to the North side, near northside, lower southside (near the loop) and see no Red R's. I see new stores and new housing. The lady who spoke at the end is on point: We have the most trifling aldermen who don't even know how to read, less lone write a proposal for a block grant. All these grifters do is try to get themselves a committee seat and coast on until they retire to get that check. I am tired. Enough is enough.

Sometimes people learn from experiences that it is not an enjoyable experience to rent to members of the black community. It is unfortunate because there are some great black people out there. The problem is that there are a lot of not great people that ruin the lives of thier landlords. It is a a real struggle to not become prejudice when the odds of getting screwed by a tenant is high in the black community. I hope that this will change.
