I love you guys. Your videos are great and Moped problems is super relaxing and interesting. My 4 year old likes the videos too! I don’t even have a tomos.. yet but as soon as I get enough extra money I’m buying which ever one the universe sends my way. I’ve been looking online at what’s out there every night looking at beaters that need some love. No way I’m getting a restored bike for like $1100 I’m looking at the $400 and below range. I have plenty of love to give for tomos and all beautiful 2 stroke bikes. Thank you guys so much for your videos on this channel and moped problems!
I bought a pair of 05 tomos lx mopeds that had been sitting in a warehouse for 19 years , they each had under 200 miles , one runs perfectly but the other one is being the bane of my existance , it will not shift out of first and no matter how much i loosen the front brakes they always tighten up to where it drags all the time ive even resulted to just disconnecting them and they just screech and drag and get the hub hot , thinking this one is a factory lemon , probably why it sat for 19 years , but i love the other one lol

Oh wow, interesting that 30 weight oil works too! My ‘09 manual specifies “Type A Suffix A” which confused me at first because I couldn’t find it for sale-turns out that was GM’s first ATF fluid and was basically whale oil and isn’t available anymore for obvious reasons. I’ve been using modern ATF fluid and so far it’s been fine. I’ll have to try SAW 30 next time.
Well on my apn 6 its 100x simpler first you unscrew drain screw then put drain screw back on unplug oil lewel stick like that one in car just a little bit smaller and put new fresh oil in and your done.
Mine is not kick start olny🤔..not pedal start...I can drain the gear oil straight out the bottom and has a nut on the top like this one..kick start on the left side drain and fill.on left
Curious how the pedal shaft looks different from earlier models, did they widen it or is that a huge bushing on there? My 2011 has a spring behind there that's such pain to put back on, I cut a notch in the cover so I wouldn't have to remove the pedal every time.
Tomos America ok I got a 1990 bike but I can’t get it running I’ve cleaned the jets in the carb cleaned the gas tank sometimes it starts when it does it idles and when u hit the gas it dies

In tomos a5 goes ATF oil NOT SAE 30 ITS TO DENSE
Never put SAE 30 Oil in Tomos automatic. Only ATF type a suffix a. SAE 10w30 can go but clutch will slip. Do not put any other oil only ATF
Has no level plug ...just a bolt on the top....I can travel to figure this out

@@lawnmowerman9780 check the fuel mixture the sparkplug regulate idle and mixture on the carb there is a milion things you could do
