"The Decent" is best underrated film of 2000 s .....I hope it gets a really good Atmos that uses height channels. Also bring on Fight Club!!! hopefully gets Dolby Vision

Hi Ken. There’s definitely some great releases coming out in 2025. I’m hoping Con Air and Armageddon releases will include the extended Director cuts. I never liked the Snowman and English Patient - so won’t be picking those two up. We still need The Rock, Dust til Dawn The Fly on 4k! Fingers crossed they will get a release at some point 👍😀
Definitely I'm getting so sick of releases where it's only the theatrical on the 4K. Just this week got copy of Doctor Sleep with that same issue would not have bothered ordering if I'd known cos DC is nearly half hour longer.

Tommy is a rock opera from the 70's/80's classic rock group The Who. Roger Daltrey (lead singer from the Who) is the lead in the movie. Also notable singers include Elton John (as the pinball wizard) and Tina Turner (as the Acid Queen). I am a huge Roger Daltrey\Who fan (as well as Tina Turner) so I am really looking forward to this one on 4K. I recommend you checking it out Ken....but fair warning, it's not really a movie for everyone.....but still a classic, in my humble opinion.
Ken Tommy is the movie of the Who's music. I saw them perform that live way back I wouldn't recommend it unless your a die hard fan of the Who. But the live gig was fantastic back in the day.

You are assuming The Descent 4k will be a Lionsgate release it’s a Pathe film so might either be on Studiocanal or Curzon here in the Uk US maybe Scream?
The Descent is going to need extra special care if it’s going to make that transfer. It was made on a shoestring budget and if they fuck-up the PQ, the seams will be more visible and it won’t be as effective. But yeah, I agree, great movie. Genuinely scared the shit out of me on the first viewing.

So maybe I am wrong, but it was my understanding Sony has handed off their 4k home entertainment stuff to SDS, and this included the Disney deal (as well as Lionsgate and others). My understanding was that as a result of this, Sony and Disney are no longer in partnership as the 4K disc production has been subcontracted to SDS.
I upgraded my Con Air non-anamorphic DVD to Buena Vista's Blu-ray, which was a big step up... and as much as this transfer gets pissed on by critics for its edgy, processed look, I never had an issue with it. To me, it's "hyper-sharp" and looks far better than the DVD; alas, I'd probably pass on the 4K.
Con Air with both the theatrical and extended versions would be a home run. Enemy of the State should follow The Rock and l do expect a 30th anniversary of Crimson Tide this year along with Dangerous Minds all Jerry Bruckheimer movies.

I'm definitely buying Bring it On and Tommy from Shout. I pre-ordered The Brood and Scanners. I'm not making a not pre-ordering eXistenZ mistake again.
Amazon actually shipped my Inglourious Basterds 4k I pre-ordered when it was announced so I guess they did get some in.

Tommy is a musical by the Who, based on the album of the same name which is only one of the most popular albums in the history of rock music. 😂The movie version stars The Who, Tina Turner, Elton John, Eric Clapton, and Ann-Margret.
