@handsome dan Remember what Happened to Socrates, Oppenheimer, MLK, and a multitude of others. It is easy to walk in the steps of giants. Emma is truly gifted along with these other world class spartan athletes that understand the micro second.... Enter into a race with some of these world class athletes and you will understand and stand in awe of their commitment to physical and mental challenge of the hear and now... or time...Emma and her colleges, that have come before and likely after, her are amazing and suggest a huge inspiration to an obese nation. No one is perfect, and from my point of view, this why Emma continues to stay in the inner world of time. I would love to watch Trump , or yourself, on a non-motorized bicycle, do a 100 meter sprint against her with on leg tied behind her back! Don't kid yourself.... I'm certain of the outcome...Just a thought???

At the 2:25 mark, dinner 3 hours before the race, EMMA COBURN eats toast or a bagel, a banana and some peanut butter. That seems simple enough. The eloquence of simplicity.

Wow. Thats been my diet for the last 30 years. She looks like she could be my sister. Go Emma. That diet works like a champ for a champ.

‘Becoming a ‘complete’ athlete involves fully opening one’s mind, massively broadening one’s peripheral vision, and realising, that potential growth has its roots within endless spheres.’ (I.S.)
'My best year of track competition was the first year I ate a vegan diet.' (Carl Lewis)
'Everything (I eat) is pretty clean.' (E.C.)
Although a vegan myself, I have never attempted to convert anyone to veganism. Nevertheless, I respectfully suggest that Emma takes a close look at meat production - not only the cruelty but in particular the chemical crap which goes into such. In life even things which one would assume to be clean and pure are usually full of chemical waste eg. simple sparlking tap water: Only pure springwater is generally safe to drink. I even cook my food in it.
I've personally competed internationally (for literally over 50 years) in three back to back sports - initially athletics, then tenpin, and then as a senior in longdrive golf. In recent years making countless trips to the U.S.A., a country where I always had to dash into and out of as quickly as possible as sourcing pure vegan food was almost impossible. I always starved there, lost weight, and adversely performed on its soil. In part due to disgusting food. I always went through hell in immigration control trying to justify why most of my luggage comprosed food!
In the U.S.A. excess cows' milk is stuffed into most everything - incredibly even bread and baked beans! How a few of its its citizens manage to weigh in at under twenty stones in weight (excessive calories being stuffed into most everything) is a mystery. Having your own cooking facilities is an absolute must.
Food is like most everything in life, one can go superficial or in increasing levels of complexity. In athletics as most coaches throughout the world do not even teach basic efficient running technique it is hardly a surprise that other vital areas such as food science and sports psychology barely receive a mention.
I do accept that I'm a fanatic, even qualifying as a clinical hypnotherapist purely to aid personal performance. But it's hard at the top and every edge needs to be explored. Such is life.
Emma looks FANTASTIC, but the very fact that her body is in part built out of dead animals is an area of grave (forgive the pun) concern for anyone truly in the know.

You wouldn't be here if your ancestors had not eaten dead animals and sugar can be just as toxic. Veganism is only possible in a land of plenty/overabundance. I don't agree with most of the American diet and would probably be vegetarian if it were possible, but as you said it's very difficult to do in certain areas. In time I have become a fan of almost all things living, but many people would not survive without eating some source of meat and it can be necessary for survival. You should not be so judgmental of others.
