@ true but I’ve spent $6 on stupider things😂. Plus it could go up in a few years, if not then I’m trading it for a bottle of JACK 👍🏻😂. Good video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The first 50,000 is counting all graded and not graded coins. I bought one of the SD Bullion black core ones. There will only be 500 of the black core MS70 8th era sold by SD Bullion as it is an exclusive by them and NGC. I am supposed to get mine on Thursday.
Yesterday I went to a coin shop thinking I was going to save money vs. buying online. Standard 1 ounce silver was 41 dollars. I’ll stick with maple leafs.
Thanks! Honestly just start small, something that interests you. Over time you'll learn what you like and what works, etc. Also watch videos of other youtuber's explaining their viewpoints, you'll find that it's consistent in the community. I usually guide people towards rounds as they are generally cheaper than govt issued ones. Silver Buffalo's are a great starting point! Welcome to stacking!
Rounds are a great way to get into this hobby. Especially the generic ones, they will be cheaper making them easier to get started with. But it really depends on what your goals are. Are you doing this as an investment? Hording? Economic collapse? Why you stack will really drive how you stack. I got into this as a kid, picking silver out of pocket change. Then I was lifted a Morgan silver dollar and fell in love with those. Used to have a large collection until my sister and her boyfriend stole and pawned them for drugs. I have slowly restarted my collection but changed focus. I've started collecting the proof silver krugerrands starting with the 2017 proof w/ privy mark. Have a handful of silver eagles, Canadian silver and a couple Morgan's. Going to get myself a 1884 Morgan cc ms64 someday. Reason I'm collecting is these will all gain value as collectibles and someday pass these on to my nieces someday. My hope with this silver eagle privy is that it's a 1 time thing and will become that sought after collectable. In the end, my big reason for collecting is I love looking at them. They have a beauty about them, beyond the metal. find what you want to collect and read read read. Learn everything you can, keep expanding your knowledge. Most importantly, have fun with it, be excited. It's a ton of fun.
@@sadpanda9455 1884CC is the cheapest one, unless it's a super grade I would go with '78 '80 '85 or hunt for a deal on 90-92 it's all about how many MS still exist. Depends what you want to spend MS65 is where gem starts but look at the 1884S prices, I wouldn't think of getting a MS not even a 60, way too costly. 20 years ago I wanted to buy a XF-40 1893S, 4,000 now it's 12,000. The true king of Morgans. Yep, be careful, I've "lost" a few coins. CC and S cost more but all the mints have some high flyers.
I like the black core version, but I'm not going to spend $200 for it since I have the white one and spent only $99 and $80 for them. Now did you read that it said that the first 50k meant the first 50k ms70s and first 50k ms60? I always thought it meant the first 50k minted.
I feel as though it is a little known game the fact that there is a collab tied to it with the mint will make these the "odd duck" that people will look for someday down the road. The raw coins will get swooped up easily but they will get lost in the mix over time. Saying that the initial slabs should keep some value. I jumped on these early and have 2 NGC and a PCGS pre ordered. 🎉
The HIPPE and PRICE of the " star privy silver eagle's are crazy right now . Even with a low mtg. they will never bring the value they are selling for now . I bought two MS from " J M Bullion " last week . Coming Friday , 1 , November 2024 . Thank you .
1996 silver eagle was the lowest mintage until now. If you do a Google search, you will see that one had a mintage of about 4 million. It was unique, because of its date and it was the 10 year anniversary of the bullion program. This eagle is unique due to the star privy (first time on a bullion coin), as indicated there are "other" 2024 dated eagles, but ONLY 500,000 have the star privy. it's also a FIRST as the first for anything the US Mint does usually brings in high profits. So, this coins' mintage is six times lower than the 1996 eagle. Currently, the 1996 predecessor who has been dethroned trades for $950 - $1,000 in ms70 grade! eBay is trading the ms70 star privy around $425 and $599, so It shot up from $80 if you played the game to win it to these prices. $400 is a STEAL for this coin as it should realize about $1,500 once the market and numismatics catches up to what just happened. It's NOT HYPE it's based on solid numbers and low mintage, and coin collectors understand what this is so, If you have an interest in eagels I would try to secure one ASAP before prices at the least double or triple. Good luck!
Already pre-order MS 69 from bullionexchanges a couple weeks ago. Have to wait a couple more weeks to ship. I figured why not, add to my slabbed ASE collection 😎👍🇺🇸
Slabbed, because those are the only one's designed to be MS69 or MS70, the tubes or individual one's won't be at that grading level. In terms of premiums, yeah it's a rip off if you're trying to stack weight. Overall, I think it's a gamble, it could be hype or a must buy. However, we won't know until later so I'm betting on it being worth something.
Agree completely on all. As to the tubes I am speaking not only BU rather Mint Certified & PCGS/NGC First 30 designation… this is the highest grade tube in my understanding & not searched. Comes to about $50/coin today in USD.

It’s worth getting one or two non slabs just to have around. Right now the price isn’t unreasonable
True, only thought with it, is the $6 extra premium on top of the ASE current premium. May as well get regular ASE's at that point. IMO

Agreed! I think the slabs are the way to go! Less likely to get mixed up in tubes or other stacks!
Man that MS70 1st of 50k from 8thEra is now around $380.
I saw that too! Almost doubled in price in just a week! I was hoping mine would come in today, but it doesn't look like it!
@Privamint I picked one up for $149 2 weeks ago. Hopefully Monday will be delivered. It's not often you see a prize move like that so soon.

First I've heard of these. What a bad move by the mint. Only large bullion retailers get the premiums leaving all us collectors out.
500,000 is low mintage? I think not.
After seeing this video , I don't want to buy anything from the mint. It's all bs
There will be half a million of them. Not worth it in my opinion. Cheapens the hobby.
