Thanks Stu! Two songs I like that use a I V vi IV progression is No Woman No Cry and I'm Yours by Jason Mraz. I think it's actually helpful to start looking at chord progressions in terms of numbers and see the correlations between different songs. Was at a camp fire the other day with few other instrumentalists and nobody was able to remember any songs to sing, trying to get chords on the mobile, which bad reception didn't allow. This made me realise I need to be able to memorise songs, chords as well words. Thinking of chord progressions in scale degrees makes it easier. And learning songs without always looking at the song sheet is also helpful.
That’s the ticket. I play drums in a ‘Jam band each Sunday. Those guys don’t have any cheat sheets and have an amazing recall. That’s what inspired me to find out how they do it.
Thank you for this ❤ it really gives me an idea on how to play ukulele very well like the strumming and of course the chords itself. Dm ukulele chord is pretty easy and we can all agree✨ It is worth it learning your videos about ukulele and it's happy and has joyful tone🫶🏻 Hope to win this giveaway. Let this channel grow and be a guide to those who wanted to learn and has started to learn ukulele🤍
I like the practice with the 12-bar blues in the different keys - thanks !!
I didn’t know! 😊 I didn’t know anything. I’m just starting out, but I’ll review these videos again when I get there.
I heard The Beatles "For You Blue" this morning and was wondering what the 12 bar blues was. Cool coincidence that your video popped up 😮
Thanks. Another one to practice.
These videos are easy to understand….im finely getting the hang of it. I’m impressed you’re a fab teacher.
Wonderful!
Very good I’ve learned a lot from this
Great presentation once more!!!
Hey, UA-cam didn't notify me that this video was posted. I found it because I checked your channel to make sure I didn't miss any in this series.
Oh no!
Thank you for your dedication to teaching others.
So nice of you
Darn, the series isn't fully out yet? 😭 Now I have to find something else to binge watch at 630 in the morning
I was told by a few people daily was too much.
Another really helpful lesson. Thanks.
I can see these are going to be videos I will have to watch a few times to get the hang of it. Thanks.
Great info!
Sounding nice there.
Becoming clearer with each video!! Thank you!!
I am still feeling challenged but hoping it will all fall into place soon. Thanks Stu

So excited to maybe win this ukulele.
Always funny and interesting, Stu. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Mahalo! Learned some new information today. Perhaps America Pie has the 1 5 6 4 progression 🌺
American Pie is trickier one Susan. It has some borrowed chords from other keys. Nice try.
Hiya Stu thanks 🙏
I think Let It Be uses this progression. Thanks Stu!
spot on!
Great video
starting in the 5 was good to know
I think I’m going to need to watch all of these again… hopefully while playing the ukulele that I won 🤣🤞🏻
A good and useful lesson, however, as always 😊
Glad you think so!
Even better at second viewing! Midnight by the shadows (C.Am.F.G7)
You are super!
Thank you! 😃
Great video again.

we are progressing in progressions 😆
Have you ever told us the story of your lion friend? Nice cord progression by the way.
I’m a Leo.
Hello little lion in the background 😊
I’m a little confused. If the D Major scale is DEF#GABC#, how does the Bb fit? Can any variation of the B note be used in the scale?
OK, I got it. David Soul's song Don't Give Up On Us you did on one of your videos? The key of D?
Thanks. The Beatles used 1 5 6 4 a lot as in Let it Be.
yes. spot on.
Hmmm ... I'll need to search some songs to find out more titles
Is the tenor your favourite type of uke?
I really have trouble making the Bb chord.
Do you mean Bm?
Sorry . . .I see Joe already suggested 'Let It Be' so how about 'Country Roads'?
Wouldn’t it be nice to practice these skills on the patio with this little tenor uke? What’s the story of your lion plushie?
I’m a Leo
So Lonely by The Police
so it is. excellent.
All too Well by Taylor Swift uses that progression.
nice one!
I don't know songs well enough
Let it be mate. No, I mean the Beatles 'Let It Be' . . . .mate . . . . .sorry . . . . . .
Still doesn't explain why all keys ,regardkess, sound right with I,IV,V
Did you watch the A Major video?
@@ukemullum Yes. I think it has to do with the vibration frequency . too deep!
@@ronolson4598 it's the relationship of the intervals of the I,IV, V chords that works every time regardless of the key. Does that make sense?
