  • The battle with the elusive sly fox continues! Whistling foxes and thermal fox hunting
It's one of my favourite times of the year where I live, lambing season. It's this time of the year when all the lambs in the area area born. It's a time of the year to celebrate new life, and also a great time to hunt foxes. As the new lambs are born the foxes become increasingly active an ambitious in the hope of taking a newly born lamb for their supper. At the moment I have a long standing feud with one fox in particular who keeps evading me me. So it's time to charge up the thermal monocular and thermal scope batteries and spend some time hunting the night. It's fox hunting time!
In this video I attempt to use a fox whistle and thermal gear to hunt a fox who's been terrorising the local sheep. If you like hunting, fox hunting, whistling in foxes, spot lighting foxes or hunting with thermal gear I'm sure you'll love the video.

Haha don't feel bad about leaving the rifle, in all fairness trying to think through that ear infection pain would have been hard! This is the first of your videos I've watched, love it!

Haha thanks Nathalie, that ear infection did suck! It ended up taking me 4 weeks to get rid of it! Had to go to hospital in the end eeek! Glad you enjoyed the video mate. Hopefully you can get some value out of the other ones too.

The 2 times you see game is when you drive onto the property and when you drive off the property. Both times your rifle will be stored away 😂

Haha spot on Phil. Whenever I get back to the car after a stalk I now wait 10-20 minutes for just this reason haha. Works a charm.

Different scenario but I do a lot of Cray diving in NSW. I almost always have a speargun with me which can sometimes get in the way. If leave the gun in the boat or on the land I will almost certainly see a good Jew or Snapper acting dumb. There must be some basic law of hunting that the chance of sighting prey increases proportionally when not having a weapon in hand.

Haha it's so true, or at least feels true. Sometimes on the walk back to camp or the car when I'm hunting I'll get half way and say to myself "oh no luck this time" and then mime the actions of taking the magazine out just to trick my brain and hopefully trigger murphies law haha. It's silly but sometimes it works haha

Ah Brad that suxks. I was talking to a guy from WA that had access to heaps of land for hunting and it recently got sold. Thr new owners wants nothing to do with hunting. He's devastated. Been hunting there for years. Hopefully you can find another spot!

@@Thehuntsmanshow It definitely adds up to a bit of extra money in the bank, I mean the shed. Reward the family for all those times they've let you do what you love, the late nights and the weekends away.
