- A piglet had fallen into a well and was trapped unable to get out or even take a moments break from swimming. Just as we arrived and were getting our rescuer into his halter the piglet was starting to drown. Watch his amazing rescue and please share to help support animal rescue in India.

That was so crazy. My heart was racing. If you guys didn't get there when you did it was going to drown. It didn't have no way to get out and was getting tired and it's head kept going down. It wouldn't have been much longer. I've noticed alot of animals fall down holes like this. Some don't have water some have water but places the animals can jump up on to get out of the water. Their still trapped but at least out of water. This pig didn't have no hope. There's no tellin how many other animals have died in holes like this that didn't get seen or heard. It's hurts my heart to think that. I hope not

An animal should be granted the respect and dignity that it deserves and those whom give all to allow us to feed our families also deserve our gratitude. No animal should be considered nor treated as a commodity and the commercial meat industry far to often forgets or ignores this. Each time a person goes vegetarian that horrific industry losses a customer and it something Gabrielle should be proud of.
In closing, yes, countless animals do fall to predators in the wild, some as prey, some as predator, some for man other reasons, but there is a vast difference between nature and the commercial meat industry that sees only a commodity and not a life worthy of respect and dignity and our gratitude.

Thats only because AAU, India does a great job (alot better than most) of documenting their rescues. It doesn't matter where you are, animals all over find themselves in precarious situations. AAU, India just gives us a better insight into what it takes to rescue an animal in their part of the world. I live in the middle of Wisconsin, US, (farmland all over). With the number of abandoned wells, caves, mines, sinkholes, barbed-wire (tons of 50-100+ yr old forgotten barbed-wire fences around here), who knows what's happening to animals where no one actually sees it.
What about european countries where animals like cows and pigs are kept in horrible conditions to satisfy the taste buds of people .why dont yu stop eating non veg and save animals instead dont preach to others what they are supposed to do
and then there are those who kill them just for satisfying their taste buds ! Pathetic.

Not everyone in India are like that, this is only one organisation that I see which is form India that helps animals, even though country is huge, these people are amazing and I hope there could be more like them everywhere.

I was reading the comments and came across the age old vegan vs non-vegan war! in general, I'd like to point out that I'm not in favor of either-its a personal choice. the cruelty in the meat and egg industry is terrible. I've seen the documentaries. If someone wants to give up meat based on watching those videos then more power to them. However, for some vegans (in the comments) to put it across in a superior way isn't great. Please don't forget, that if a meat eater is killing a chicken then so are you, a plant. plants have life and it's been proven time and again-it's taught in biology books now. Please. Recent experiments have also shown plants to feel pain and emit a sort of 'scream' when harmed. (Read: Intention Experiment)
Imagine pulling, uprooting and cooking them. So just because a mammal or a bird is bigger and can feel pain in a way that you can immediately relate to, doesn't mean that a plant isn't hurting and dying when it's plucked and ground to be served up on the plate. If you ask a meat eater to quit meat, could u do the same with plant matter? maybe live on synthetic food?
We are all killers. Instead of showing one another up, let's admit that we have all killed and are killing. For thousands of years we have been eating meat and plants-
It's the treatment of the animals and plants that's in question. Focus on changing the laws and not on hating people with different tastes than you.

It is absolutely true that meat is the cause for the spread of many diseases...to be specific it is PROCESSED meat from unhygienic and sick sources. I don't suppose you've researched the effects of steroids, injections and GM vegetables on the human body? Be open minded. There are positives and negatives to everything.
And to be truthful I haven't done any research on the environmental aspects as put forward by you. Will get back to you on that :)
Lastly, you've avoided the question of why you find it so implausible that plants may feel and hurt the same way as another living being. I know shutting the idea out and talking of plant rescue organisations eases the conscience but stick to the point :)

We have been omnivores for millions and millions of years since the first fossils and scientific proof had been found. If you want more info about human evolution, look it up. Vegan is a life style choice but by no means is it the most natural choice. Our dental evolution was formed specifically for eating both meat and plant foods. Our closest ancestors also are omnivores, their ancestors were omnivores, and etc. for millennia so don't talk about having "proof" from personal experience. Everyone's experiences are different. Just because you are vegan and it helps you doesn't mean that it can help others too. I know many people who have to eat an ALL CARB diet, which includes tons of meat. However, you are right about one thing. Facts are facts and the facts are that humans are supposed to be omnivores.

You know, most of those animals are breed specifically for being eaten. Most animals that are breed in captivity are void of most instinct or learned behaviors that they would need to survive on their own in the wild. Releasing those "poor" animals into the wild because we are hurting them would be the same as being eaten by another animal.
Don't complain about dog, cat or horse meat then ;)
