- Leamington & Warwick Model Railway Society found goods reasons to revive the colour and variety of Edwardian railways with an outstanding P4 model of a fictional West London terminus.
This model railway appeared in BRM (British Railway Modelling magazine) in March 2015. You can download that issue from www.pocketmags.com/BRM - Розваги
I love these kinds of layouts exploring Edwardian and Victorian eras. Absolutely stunning
Peter Denny looks down with full approval. Superb!
My thoughts exactly. I think they are channeling him.
That was beautiful. That goods shed looked so real as well!..
Decent track makes all the difference. I like the weathering and grime in the sleeper areas.
Excellent.
Beautiful modelling, a glimpse at the past perfectly captured.
That was beautiful. That goods shed looked so real as well!
The only bad thing about this video was it ending. I think I could easily have enjoyed another 50m.
Stunning layout.
I love LNWR locos and the carriage colour scheme. Same goes for the LSWR and LBSCR. All three are some of the best pre-grouping railways of all time, and I'd love to see big companies make more of their locos and rolling stock in 00 guage to help modellers assemble a collection better without having to constantly scratch build everything.
Very relaxing voice . Excellent model.
Leamington & Warwick Modal Railway Society, Lad's, Very nice indeed. Bob Essery once told me he thought the late Jack Nelson's L.N.W.R. book was the best book issued for a railway modeller. He wished there were more books like it. When we took Bob's Scale 7 layout " Dewsbury" on exhibition from a cold garage to a warm exhibition hall. On a Friday we'd set the layout up but we didn't tighten the boards up let the layout stand over night. Saturday before the door's opened we'd tighten everything up. Doing that we never had any running problems.Cheers, Chris Perry.
Absolutely stunning layout. Thank you for sharing. All the best for the new year.
Fabulous model. A lot of skill, time and patience has gone into this.
This is a really nice layout and great detail on the buildings etc 😀👍
Haven't touched upon model layout creativity in a while because I'm into more ambitious tastes mostly, but this is a truly fine example of what layout presentation strives for, and the commitment of the team behind it to pull it off so meticulously. This is the kind of rounded development feel I focus on with my work. Also the set-up of a crossroads of different companies' activities is very tempting because of course of the variety feel, and that again is something I fascinate in. Marvelous job. Samuel F.
Magnificent, congratulations on a world-class period model.
Wonderful layout. Quite aside from the superb scenery and stock, the track work is lovely to look at 😎
Super stuff. Thank you.
Very nice layout, thanks for sharing
Amazing. like a time tunnel. I grew up in the Wirral next to the Birkenhead lines...
This is an amazing layout.
Brilliantly clean tracks 👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, impressive layout 👍
Great! Thanks!
A premier, Premier line!
Hurray for pre-grouping!,
Hi may I ask where did you get the rows of terreced houses on thr new section
Great stuff cracking LNWR layout! Don't know where all these pregrouping locos come from but I need to find out!
Has this been shortened
How do you keep it dust free ?
Very nice. Has anyone thought of doing an accurate model layout of Woodham Brothers scrapyard when it was full of rusting pre-heritage beauties. Although it would be more of a static display, it would include a fantastic collection of steam classics as they looked prior to rescue and loving restoration...
Great idea.
Are the locomotives and rolling stock kit built? What locomotives do you use? What gauge does everything run on?
Dunno. Dunno. P4.
Fab pre grouping model
Excellent layout with fantastic detail, thanks for the video. Question I have a Hornby #R3811 with some 4-plank wagons and a brake van. I would like to add some passenger cars, was this done on the real railroad ? At one time in the states it was not unusual to do that., t was called a mixed train or mixed freight train.
Depends, mixed trains were common on branch lines in the UK. On the mainline however it was rare to see coaches and goods wagons on the same train.
@@daylightman8459 Thank you, that helps me make my decision. A Mixed Train it will be, on special occasions.
Ok I’m going to be a really picky jerk. The music is too modern by about 25 years.
From the music I thought it was set in the 20s-30s until he mentioned a year!
Great layout .Thumbs up for you .Hope you like mine diesel dave's
far too clean for coal and steam era
it could grace my loft anyday!
