The first book I read was : The History of the South Melbourne Football Club , probably around 2022,
I remember the Lakeside night football premierships each year, the Sporting Globe, Johnny Rantall, John Heriot etc , the Daniher trade , Eric Sarich breaking Syd Jackson's leg, and giving the Blues a hiding,
Bobby Skilton no.14, 3×:Brownlow, living " down south" from McKinnon , almost at Moorabbin , Max Papley territory, but too close to the Saints, home ground. The Lakeside battle when the Bloods were west end and the Saints were east end of the lake.
Those were the days my friend, Rock concerts that never end , begrudge and belittle, us, as u might, the bloods will win by day or by night.
The mighty Barry Round , helped us settle at the Sydney ground .
The gut running chassis , coached by Haffey and Barassi .
Healy, Bayes & Williams to name a crew
Up there Cazaly, Nash and Pratt,

You can tell how invested Chloe is in the culture of the Swans. Our girl has been drawn in to the magnetic force that is the bloods culture. 🦢🦢🦢

Only 5 Premierships in total, mmmmm.
That's not a successful club, whoops. Carlton, Essendon 16 premierships. Sydney's last 7 Grand Finals, 2 premierships, mmmmm that's not very successful. Had to move to Sydney to stay alive, mmmmm struggling club. Love em though 😊 . Good memories of the Lakeside oval, Albert Park also known as Sth Melbourne Cricket Club, as a kid. 😎
