The record label they signed to has no US presence, and not to mention avex licensed songs in IIDX was hogging up the budget, to the point IIDX even started to eat up on MGS profits. In contrast, Perfume has the backing of Universal Music Group to tour outside Japan.
Ok, haha, I apologize. But there are definitely a lot more good bands not too well know because they don't have songs in anime or DDR. You should check out bands like Last Alliance, Kaggra,, , Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Tamaki Nami, Gilgamesh, etc. I'm a huge L'arc fan as well, but BeForU really can't be compared with these guys, especially L'Arc; the four of them, especially Hyde has so much talent and versatility.
