Sorry that we have people like this in the Western world that support terrorist. Just know they are a loud minority. The majority of people stand with Israel.
And part of education is learning how to perform research so you don't need to "be there" to arrive at a conclusion. Research isn't just 'googling' -it's a critical examination of a wide range of sources, evidence and arguments. Being somewhere is no guarantee you'll have a deep insight into everything going on, and odds are you won't. There's a reason why anecdotes are unpersuasive to academics. There's nothing growing in Gaza, and the whole strip, including the designated 'safe zones', looks as if two dozen Hiroshimas hit it. The UN is warning that famine is imminent, disease is widespread, and the population is on the brink of physical destruction.
@@themaskedman221That's funny because I've seen lots of current pictures where it doesn't look like that. You are only looking at certain neighborhoods. Hamas chose violence. Gaza could have been a tourist destination with its gorgeous beaches and fertile soil. When the partition was made Gaza got to keep the irritated land the British made for them and Israel had to create their own farm land manually and placed crops by hand for a long time until shipments of industrial equipment could arrive and they built their entire infrastructure and factories, hospitals, living spaces from scratch all with the will to survive and help one another. And the little who say they lost their land won't tell you that it went both ways. I know a Jewish man whose family lived in what is now Palestine and has to leave and move when the land was divided to make way for the Muslim area of Palestine. He never complains though. Mosab-born into Hamas. Moran-an Israeli artist with many Arab friends, and who was a Hamas hostage. And then you come to the arrogant Doyle, whose knowledge comes solely from ideological books, yet who pretends to know more than the other two.
It really grates my nerves when people call Israelis “settlers.” You cannot be a settler in your own country! The so-called “West Bank,” which is actually Judea & Samaria rightfully belongs to Israel. Multiple times over it is the rightful territory of Israel. I was born in Arizona and now I live in Ohio. I am not a “settler“ in Ohio, I simply moved to a different part of my country. The “settlers“ are the “Palestinians.” The two-state solution was already formed, and the two states are Jordan and Israel. If the “Palestinians” refuse to live peacefully on the Israeli land known as Judea & Samaria (West Bank), they should be banished to Jordan. Period. [Edited for a spelling mistake]
Haviv Rettig Gur says that we are settlers and that’s okay. It’s what we did. He says we even colonized the land. Again, not a bad thing, it’s just what happened. What’s problematic is when people suggest Israel is “colonialism” because we are not an arm of a powerful nation state setting up a satellite in another country. We are our own country.
@@alevigar To add further to what you were saying, Israel was the first experiment in de-colonization, bringing people back to their indigenous land. When the Russians, who first supported the Zionist cause, realized that Israel had Western Values of freedom and democracy and innovation and personal responsibility, they turned heel and began a propaganda campaign against Israel, calling it a colonial state. I wish people would read about the history from a wide variety of sources before immediately jumping on the “Palestinian” bandwagon. (Side note: I hope to make aliyah someday!)
I think you flunked history in college. Your narrative is why a war is going on. If we all went back and corrected the deed of land rights 2,500 years ago, the world today would be quite different. 2,500 years ago, is a long a.. time!! sweetie. Flux of European Jews migration to holy lands started in 1922, they were all onboarded and given Palestinian passports, including former PM, Shimon Peres. No one at that time delineated its citizens as having more land rights than another based on religion. There were Palestinian Jews, Muslims and Christians living side by side. This is different, this is about Jewish dominance and displacement of others. That's why it's a hot topic, touches on human rights, and merits debates.

Someone should tell him who the biggest colonisers were: spoiler alert: the Arabs!!!! Aidan began his speech by insulting Mosab calling him uneducated. Then he insulted Moran Stella Yanai, by not looking at her while she spoke to him. She handled that so well. It doesn't matter which students who were stopped from attending their classes. The protesters robbed them of their freedom. I watched tourism videos from Gaza a few weeks before Oct 7th. The videos showed plenty of products and food for all Gazans. What they had was too many children, not enough housing and work. The beach area was beautiful. They had hospitals, universities, mosques and amazing shopping malls. The Palestinians have made their goals very clear. They want all of the land with zero Jewish people on it. Doyle is correct when he said that Jewish students were allowed into the camps and classes, but only if they were in agreement of the Revolution. Doyle should have been asked about his Communist activism.
The fact that there is no electricity or water in Gaza could also be because they use all the water pipes donated by the EU to build rockets and prefer to invest the money in tunnels instead of a power plant. And one of the reasons they don't have food is because they burned down the farms of settlers who left Gaza in 2005. This activist should not read so much nonsense, but simply study Islam, and then he would understand what the main problem is.
Isn't it interesting how the Jews who emigrated to the region as refugees managed managed to take an arid land and create infrastructure and cultivation but the Arabs who arrived BECAUSE the Jews had been so successful cannot figure out how to do the same. Or is it simply that the want isn't there because UNRWA takes care of them.
Someone should ask Doyle why Palestinians weren’t concerned with a national identity when Jordan annexed Judea & Samaria (the West Bank) and Egypt had Gaza. Hell, the Palestinian & Jordanian flag are basically the same.
The complete disrespect to the panel AND the audience by Doyle is astounding. He belittled Mr. Yousef and neglected to acknowledge Mrs. Yanai's experience... both whom have 1st hand experiences in GAZA. The fact that he lied in response to the audiences questions to save face only shows his true character. He should be labeled a terrorist group based on his leadership and actions of his group on the UCLA campus. The issue is, the US government currently want unrest. They continuously violate the rights of others during their protest on campus including terrorizing other students. They should all be arrested and charged accordingly.

It is a majority vs. minorities conflict. The middle east Arab Islamic majority cannot accept the existence of an independent state of a minority, be it of Maronites, Assyrians, Druze or others, especially of Jews. By Arab Islamic culture, if it is not dominated and controlled by an Arab Islamic regime then it is an occupation. Mr Doyle has a major immaturity problem. His rude, arrogant, lack of eye contact is breath taking. He needs to live the life he is commenting on. He needs to go Gaza and spout his authority, let's see how long he lasts.
28 minutes in and something stands out: the young man on the left talks from ideological, book knowledge (political commentaries, interpretations, old events, History). His knowledge is all based on his choice of litterature. He repeats what he has read. He vomits other people's words. It is a smart eloquent parrot. I would suggest to people like that: come and live here for a while, listen to the people here, see how it looks like NOW and HERE. Not in your book imagination of your cherry picked lectures.
You can also clearly see how he talks from memory. Meaning he talks remembering what he read, repeating what he learnt. There is an emptiness of experience. He is a copy paste. He doesn't think and feel before he talks, he conveniently places information he memorized into this or the other question. He has strong opinions bases solely on what he read. As if someone would have read Harry Potter and got passionate about Voldemort in real life. I mean he is the definition of brainwashed. He was put in a room seing things, and then went out of the cinema and that's the level, nature, of his "knowledge" .
That Aidan guy mentioned Benny Morris, an Israeli historian, as a resource who claimed that the Arabs in 1948 who ran away, did it because of “terror attack from HaEtzel, HaHagana, HaLechi etc.” while Benny Morris says that they ran because of both fear of the upcoming Israeli military attack- in a war the Arabs themselves started, and because of orders from the local Arab leadership. (Benny Morris mentioned that there were incidents of deportations, but not as an official Israeli political policy, but it was a result of high Israeli commandments, in cases they see it was required- and those cases were really few, according to Morris).
I wish I had the same privilege as to be so oblivious and detracted from the conflict in the Middle East. It truly hurts how so many dare to speak on this topic when they have never lived within it.
There are people who have a lived experience and can speak to it authentically. There are other people that haven't, and can't. The blatant ignorance of Doyle is actually insulting to my intelligence.

Let's compare him to jusef's reasons to speak up and to actively oppose hamas in his past: They're two different species of men
There is one aspect more re Gazans dying, although they arent near a military target.... Which Doyle mentioned! Its because their houses are fragile, made of inferior concrete. It was a swedish commentator whom explained this, and I do buy his explanation: Hamas used the good concrete imported to build civilian houses, and used it for their tunnels... So these new houses were made with inferior concrete using sand from these tunnels... And so, most of the civilian houses in Gaza are fragile, You dont need no big explosion nearby, and the whole house collapses... Its why we hear about a whole family of 36 whom died in the rubbles of their house... They collapse as soon there is an explosion nearby... And that is why hospitals stands unharmed, although everything around is in rubble: Because hospitals are build by foreigners from good, sound concrete... A side note: a good house will stand perhaps 200 years. These inferior build houses, would stand perhaps 50 or even less... And so, many inhabitants would die, if not NOW so in 10-20-30 years...

Men, women and children. I also remember them celebrating the fact that they killed those civilians and took hostages.
I would like to say sorry to the victims and people in Israel. Sorry that we have people like this in the Western world that support terrorist. Just know they are a loud minority. The majority of people stand with Israel.
Yes these protesters are shameful!

Delusions. Jehws need to go back to Europe? Why don’t Europe except jehws?
@@alevigar To add further to what you were saying, Israel was the first experiment in de-colonization, bringing people back to their indigenous land.

42 min in, he calls the other a propagandist: when he only knows things from papers and videos.... ironic.
1h10 into it. Yes. They are writing their own books, their own history, and memorizing it.
You described him very kindly... Even a book worm uses to have more knowledge and wisedom. So he is just a parrot whom can read some.
@@d.sztern7473 Yes, its one of their standardphrases, when they become stuck. This way, they dont need to answer.
Amazing material, thank you so much for sharing
Can't even look at her. What a sad sad being
Petulant child. His body language is extremely disrespectful.
He can’t seem to sit comfortably. I think his pants are too tight.
@Meganicole1000 way too tight indeed!
This debate forum obviously did not research this clueless student Mr.Doyle. Certainly an insult to Mr. Yousef.
She is a beautiful person
❤🎉
*both local leaders and leaders of Arab countries
This boy doesn't know ANYTHING about the world.
JFC, his parents must be so proud...
My favorite part was when people stood up in the audience and accused the pro-Palestine guy of conducting a survey at the entrance to the hall and everyone who was pro-Israel they tried not to let him into his lecture! The guy is a liar
One of the most cringing debate on YT, as demonstrated by the uncomfortable bowl of Aidan Doyle.
This Doyle looks like 19th century British Colonizer 😂
LOL Just the introduction and basic concept..one american student versus two people who were born, grew up and live in the conflict. We already know who has the valuable contibution and who doesn't
When you dont know:
you grow a moustache
have a perm
wear a suit
talk fast
welcome to 2024
Was looking for a comment on the stash and perm 😂
@ i knew you were looking for me
@ and i was too lazy to write:
he has no ties with the region
never been there
he is just a commentator
its like if you ask me to comment a ping pong match and i should be able to explain all the aspects of the game, its history, and chose one side.
I wouldnt know s hit, but still:
ill wear a suit
grow a moustache
have a perm
talk fast
read and quote books about ping pong
Soon 2025
Not only his aspiration is "being a political commentator" (lol), but he's says it out loud without realising it reveals his unserious and childish nature and lack of self awareness.
Let's compare him to jusef's reasons to speak up and to actively oppose hamas in his past: They're two different species of men
Moran broke me. What an amazing woman
The kid will never have the courage to go to israel even less to Gaza
Moran, you're such a beautiful person. Beautiful beautiful person. ❤
