Neelgrath to Panjtarni Helicopter ride:
To reach Neelgrath helipad, the nearest airport is Srinagar international airport. Nearest railway stations are on the Jammu-Baramulla line - Srinagar railway station for the north pilgrim route through Baltal and Anantnag railway station for the south route via Pahalgam-Chandanwari.
How to reach Neelgrath from Srinagar by road:
Srinagar to Neelgrath- Neelgrath is 95 kms away from Srinagar and it takes 2-2.5 hrs to reach by road. There is no alternate option to reach Neelgrath except by road from Srinagar. Direct taxi will charge around 3000 to 3500₹ from Srinagar to Neelgrath helipad.
It is mandatory to complete the registration formalities for Amarnath Yatra. Also, carrying the proper documents is a must during the Yatra. Health certificate issued by any government hospital is mandatory for the yatra.
Amarnath Yatra Registration Process
The registration will be on a first come first serve basis.
Every yatri has to submit an application form and a compulsory health certificate (CHC) along with the required documents to obtain the yatra permit. The forms can be downloaded from www.jksasb.nic...

The weather conditions at the place are likely to change at any time. So weather is a very important factor in this yatra. So you have to be prepared for it. It is freezing in Jammu and Kashmir, so make sure to carry woolen clothes, jackets, caps, gloves. A windcheater, raincoat, and a torch might come in handy.
The yatra is organised by the Indian government in collaboration with Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. Various agencies provide necessary facilities all along the route during the Yatra period, which includes provision of ponies, supply of power, telecommunication facilities, firewood and setting up of fair price shops.

Is there cloakroom service at nilgrath helipad service or near by any counters for extra luggage

There are no cloak rooms at Neelgrath helipad. You have to carry lesser luggage along with you. Or else you can keep the extra luggage at nearby hotels where you are going to stay after coming back from the yatra.

There is no arrangement for stay at the helipad. You can get down at Panjatarni and stay there, but at Neelgrath helipad there is no staying options.
If you want to stay near Neelgrath then you have to book nearby hotels at Sonmarg.
