There are some new stores, but many have closed. 10 plus years ago, there was a Sam’s Club next to the Walmart where I shopped. I remember when they closed it. Sad for me because I had to drive to Pottstown area or to Harrisburg. It is a nice area to shop and dine. Thanks for the update.
@@blue18404 Exton is an old historical area, with many beautiful old homes and buildings. It is near Chester Springs, which is equivalent to mainline Philadelphia only more rural. Probably the negative part about Exton is that Rt 100 runs through it, and that has become a huge racetrack between Pottstown and West Chester. Also, the Rt 30 bypass crosses over there, Business Rt 30 goes through there, and the Amtrak station is nearby. Many people feel all of that is good if you work in Philadelphia and live in Exton. But, for the natives of Exton, it is a mess. Not industrial, just greedy planning.
Yes it was early am just before the stores opened on a weekday! Thought it would be easier to show what stores are there because it does get pretty busy here :)
Humm... wondering if the local Fedex office is anywhere near there or was it in Downington. It seems in my old stomping days there back then that area was bumper to bumper crazy during rush hour. Looks like you got off easy today. 😀
The couple large closed stores.... to the right of Fine Wine & Liquor...was a Circuit City. To the left of Walmart was a SAMS CLUB. The Sam's Club failed next to Walmart... odd choice to compete next door to one another. Buddy's has nice Burgers & Cheesteaks!
I remember when that was all built 25 or so years ago. Place was packed. Still go to the Longhorn on occasion but Exton ain't the shopping area that is was then. Used to be known as the little King of Prussia.
It’s ashame what it’s become there. We miss just walking around there. I used to go to sears and buy the craftsman tools with the lifetime warranty if one broke you get a new one. I get mad when I think about all the mom and pop stores that got put out of business because cause of online shopping etc. Longhorn is a good restaurant though, glad it’s still there as well. I haven’t heart the term little king of Prussia in awhile! Thanks for hating my memories. Thanks for subscribing to our channel and thanks for the good conversation. Have a great week!:)
I live about 20 to 25 minutes west of exton pa I live on the border of Chester County and Lancaster County it's sickening all the apartment buildings they built down there and the big store that was back next to Walmart use to be a Sam's club
Thanks for showing us these stores!!! There’s more there than what I thought! Have a great day QP!
