I’m really hoping this is competitive. Benavides and Morrell are both so different yet similar in a way that this could be an all-time classic rivalry. The Mexican Benavides, born in a family with a trainer dad, and boxing brother. 29 pro fights, an orthodox style that puts heavy emphasis on his size pressure and hand speed to unload multiple combinations that break down his opponents, and put them down. The Cuban Morrell who entered the amateur program at a young age. Over 130 fights with only 2 losses, he became highly skilled amateur before kissing his mom goodbye, and leaving Cuba to box professionally. A southpaw boxer who can rely on skill, but decides to use his size and athleticism, who can put you out in 1 shot. 🇲🇽 vs 🇨🇺. Pro vs Amateur. Flurries vs 1 punch. This is the definition of a rivalry
@@jacktapping1898 well that’s just a symbol. Honestly dragon is bad in western culture either. Therefore, don’t take it too seriously just enjoy a festival. (And I’m sure you can find some videos about why it’s the year of snake!)
wow i completely disagree with your evaluation of Benavidez and his comparison to Canelo. Canelo became come forward counter puncher at higher weights because he fights bigger fighters with longer reach, that's why he became pressure fighter but he still doesn't have much volume in his pressure, he's picking shots. Benavidez is volume pressure guy, often squaring up, throwing arm punches and literally breaking opponents because he's bigger guy in a ring. Gvozdyk wasn't even affected by Benavidez best punches, I can be wrong but I think Gvozdyk came back to boxing just for money, his hometown Kharkiv was under attack, he lost his business, Ukrainian banks froze ppl accounts so u cant really use your money so he was literally sparring partner for Canelo bc he couldn't pay for his proper camps. Fight with PBC was probably just under condition he throw it away, he fought on one gear whole fight. I'm not Canelo fun but I definetely dont think Benavidez being world talent, guy always had bunch of excuses for not fighting good guys and I think he still not leaving the PBC island bc he's juicing to make that weight and thats why he didnt want to go to DAZN for Canelo fight
Morrell was an elite Cuban amateur with only 2 losses. I believe it’s more likely than not that he can box if necessary despite his preference for coming forward and throwing bombs. No opponent has had the skills for getting Morrell in the backfoot
Great analysis as always Henry - I'm even more hyped for this fight. I'm thinking a split decision for Benavides, could be a surprise with one or both hitting the deck. I wouldn't rule out a draw but not sure where that would leave them in the title picture as rematch would be the likeliest next fight.
Benavidez late stoppage. The experience amount of rounds and opponent will be crucial. Morrell has the talent to win but those eggs need more bacon. I hope I'm wrong as I detest the way Benavidez to the point of slandering has repeatedly accused Morrell of Ped use which is ironic since hes been on the Memo Hetedia sauce for years. The one fight he didn't have him was the Gvozdyk fight and he tired and looked average now surprised said no one, Memo is back
Good video. Andrade didn’t jump from 154 though. He was at 160 for years and was even big for that division, then he moved up to 168 because he couldn’t make 160 anymore (confirmed when he tried making a fight with Charlo) and had a fight at 168 before he fought Benavidez and scored a knockdown too. Reports show Andrade and Benavidez even rehydrated to similar weights so the weight wasn’t a factor like you/others made it seem. Andrade just underestimated Benavidez in literally every category and he paid for it. I think the same will happen to Morrell but in round 9.

Benavidez isn't even fully Mexican

@@LeadLeftLeon I’d say snake is cunning. Well we don’t like the year of goat 🐑 for some reasons.
Benevidez is huge, looks like he could move to cruiser fairly comfortably which would be good for the relatively stagnant division
How is everyone doubting Benavidez? The guy is amazing. With an extremely high IQ.

Why did EUkraiNato freeze the bank accounts of Ukrainians
I’ve met Benavidez multiple timez offline and had some handshakes. That television makes everyone appear massive. Irl he’s a tall lean Mexican

David B is blessed with handspeed. Bivol has very good handspeed but Ben has great handspeed

Can’t wait to see Benavidez fight someone his size, in their prime.
two david collide that mean there only be ONE DAVID!.
I like benevides I hope he wins

Morrel will try, but Benevitez should thump him. Benevitez simply hits harder, all the time. And Morrell has no defense.
No he doesn’t 🤷🏿♂️
