Jamin is every bit as capable of being the Commanders version of Micah Parsons. Parsons is BAD MAN…but his first (3) seasons he operated within DQ’s elite scheme as opposed to Jamin who was not used properly under Rivera and JDR.
He can definitely be better under Quinn. How much is to be determined
If used properly Jamin Davis will lead the team in sacks this season.
If this were true, why didn't they pick up his 5th year option?
@@everlast9901because he’s been underutilized severely be the previous staff. This year is like a prove it year. If he balls out he’ll get an extension, if not then they’ll let him go
I’d be so happy for jamin if it worked out on the edge, he’s got the build and the athletic traits, unlikely but he could even win himself an edge rushers contract

No thinking....just rush the QB....by any means necessary....one job....I think he get get 5+. sacks...depending on how many snaps he gets

From day one when he got him he showed he can blitz at a very high level we wanted him to cover that’s what slowed his development
I keep saying Davis is going to have a monster year we got good LBs now.
Wouldn't it be funny if all Ron's picks turned out to be studs.... only they are studs in totally different positions than he played them at.

Micah Parsons is now Underutilized by only playing the edge rusher role. I like my linebackers getting sacks on blitzes, forcing fumbles, stopping and stuffing the rush, covering backs and tight-ends in coverage. Micah does all those things well, also probably the best coverage linebacker but now he is strictly edge rushing. These teams run all over the cowboys. And run right at Parsons too. And also Davis looks a little light to be stopping the run against monster NFL lineman. Respect to all these guys and i wish their teams to utilize them and not put unnecessary mileage on their young bodies.

well, he can't play linebacker (thank you, ron rivera!); so you may as well play him at edge because chase young turned out to be a bust (thank you, ron rivera!). and if he fails at edge, try him at corner back, because e forbes also turned out to be a bust (thank you, ron rivera!).

Ive been saying it since the coaching staff and roster came together; I think quinn and whitt will be running a hybrid system that is more akin to a 34 than a 43. Probably Davis and definitely luvuu will play the olb/pass rusher role. Except I think rather than coming off the edge they are in stand up, moving, and mug roles
Think 3-4 but with the D ends playing on the edges and the OLBs in the A-B gaps
I think theyll run more of 4-3 under with one linebacker on the edge rather than a 3-4 hybrid
@@MSam5-vp5ed so I think we actually agree for the most part just phrased. I just didn't do a great job explaining nor did I go in depth. And I think I say 34 are because of the body types I envision as the down linemen. Yes I would agree you always bring Luvuu down to the edge on the strong side of the offensive formation. On the weak side you have an athletic de like ferrel or Fowler(although it would probably be Armstrong due to pure skill/contract/plenty athletic). Inside him you have Davis as a mugging/threatening LBer. Payne at nose. Allen at DE. Then your 2 true offball guys are Wagner and chinn. Payne and Allen are always coming but aside from that you don't know. Luvu could be rushing or dropping and Davis could be rushing or dropping using essentially 34 rules. Even the athletic de drops sometimes. If they slide towards Davis because he's the closer threat, Luvu comes free. If they slide towards Luvu your fast DE comes free. Opens up all kinds of games, simulated pressure and and when you run an offball LB blitz they don't know who's dropping from the line and who they have to block. Then in nickel you just pull out one of your offball backers and your running a 335.
This seems confusing again but I don't know how to fix it. I suck at words. Long story short you just put as many athletic freaks at the line as possible so the offense doesn't know who to block because aside from a couple you have no idea who's rushing and whos dropping. We seem to have a lot of players who are capable of doing both. Fowler, Luvu and Ferrel have all proven they are adept at both. It looks like David can do it and Armstrong is at the very least athletic enough to do it. Sorry for my not totally coherent rambling

This is the biggest reach of the offseason but hey you can't blame the new staff for attempting to 1. Coach the player 2. see what his skill set actually is 3. creating a role
because he damm sure isn't playing in front of Luvu and Wagner

And Jamin topped him I almost every other category Vertical 42-34. Broad jump. 132”-126” 10 yard split. 1.59-1.53. Bench 21-19
Davis is 235, sorry, he would be the smallest Edge in the history of the league. Not exactly a guy who plays hard either. Or smart.
He needs to put on atleast 10lbs

Hey Pedro, would love to hear your take on the offense. They seem to be getting a pass. Bottom 5 O-Line, worst WR and TE rooms in the league, RB room bottom 5 as well. Gave up Brissett for Mariota? No. Too much pressure on the rookies. I worry for JD, he is going to get hit - a lot. They passed on Frazier (certain future pro bowl o-lineman) at 36 for a guy with two broken feet? I smell trouble, do you?
It takes more than 1 year to rebuild a team.
Why would they take Zach Frazier? He’s a center. We signed one in FA.
I trust Peters more than you can’t fix everything in one offseason.
