"The original arrangement was actually a Brandy cover to her song “What about us”. We decided to strip the vocals in the beginning and create more musical elements that keep the melody but still give room for Carlin and I to have a conversation while keeping the integrity of the music. We decided to keep the vocal sample in at the end because it sonically felt right and helped us creatively express ourselves more the way it flows over the track." - Darius
