  • The name of the song in English is Song of the Liberation Army.
This was a song used by the Viet Cong soldiers during the Vietnam War. It was composed by Lưu Hữu Phước, who has written and composed many revolutionary Vietnamese songs (Including the other Viet Cong song on this channel.)
Thanks to Hữu Quyền Đinh for the translation.
    Lyrics:
Từ ruộng đồng, từ bưng biền, từ rừng sâu, từ núi cao
Nhân dân đứng lên cùng ta đứng lên.
Đoàn ta là Giải phóng quân.
Là con em của nhân dân
Ngút trời chồng chất căm hờn biết bao .
Đồng bào ơi! Bao năm lũ giặc dày xéo quê nhà.
Tổ Quốc ơi! Vì nước gian lao nào xá.
Cùng tiến có nghe trời đang sấm vang rền muôn nơi.
Cùng tiến chúng ta cùng đi giải phóng miền Nam.

@Just A Roblox Player Go get a history book or two, pal. Ho Chi Minh did ask for US's help in the first Indochina war to kick out the French, but they refused him, they never talked to him, so guess where did he went for help, the Soviet Union.

    • @baochi456
      @baochi456 4 роки тому +19

@Just A Roblox Player He wasn't a hardcore communist, he very much wanted a friendship with the US, which he admires very much for their victory over Britain, he very much wanted independence for his country, even though it means that he HAVE to allies with the Soviet and applied harsh communism principles into his country. Because he's desperately want to liberate it from the French Colony empire.

    • @baochi456
      @baochi456 4 роки тому +15

@Just A Roblox Player that's why he never have the idea to ask for the Soviet help in the first place; not after the US rejected him, tho. He never got respected by them (both the Soviet and the US).

Also I forgot Laos, because USA aided the cappie Lao government in the Lao civil war. The Communist rebels(Pathet Lao) fortunately won. Also if some salty cappie comes here asking why is Laos poor, then I have the answer. Laos is poor because the American cappies bombed it in a HUGE scale(270 million cluster bombs and 20 000 civilians have been killed by unexploded bombs).

To be honest, the Communist party of Czechia and Moravia(KSČM) is the best choice.

      - you didn’t go to South Vietnam at all (I assume you could’ve met a few Vietnamese living overseas, the majority of them are descendants of pro-South Vietnamese governments or anti-communist fleeing the country
-you went to a really weird section of South Vietnam
-You misunderstood them. Nobody cares about what happened 45 years ago so most would probably say ‘um, maybe’?.
South Vietnam was incredibly corrupt and troops morale was very low. There were many coups within the country. Religious suppression and communist oppression led to many innocent people actually imprisoned or killed. Nobody really liked the south Vietnamese government.

“ Công bộc” to ăn công trình, dự án to.
Hic.

America didn't lose the Vietnam War. Instead, you can say America's involvement in the war was failed but it was failed by American leftist anti-war fanatics, not by Viet Cong Army. This is a tragedy for the Vietnamese people and all peoples of Indo-China countries, not for Americans.
If we compare the Vietnam War with Korean War, we will get some ideas, there is actually no essential difference between the two. The reasons, the causes, and the purposes are all the same in both wars, the only differences are the results and consequences.
In both wars, the Communist North, supported by Russia (then the Soviet Union) and China, attacked the South first, which led to America's involvement in the wars. The purpose of involvement in both wars was not for conquest and occupation, instead, the purpose was to help the South fight against the Communist North, to prevent the South from occupation by Communists, and to prevent the Communists from spreading all over the Southeast Asian region.
America and its allies' involvement in the Korea War was somewhat successful, at least it prevented South Korea from occupation by the Communist North and eventually led South Korea to become a democratic and prosperous country. On the other hand, failing to do so in Vietnam led millions of Vietnamese refugees to risk their lives fleeing the country and the much less developed Vietnam we see today. Even worse, almost 2 million Cambodian people were oppressed, tortured, and killed by the vicious Khmer Rouge regime out of its 8 million population. So, the biggest losers are the peoples of those Indo-China countries, not Americans. The peoples of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos suffered the most, they lost everything, even their lives during and after the war. American soldiers' sacrifices are not worthless. At least it significantly weakened and deterred the Communist further expansion in other Southeast Asian countries. If America had not participated in the war in the first place and let the Communists take power so easily and quickly, there would be no such a place called "Backpackers' Paradise - Southeast Asia", instead, the whole Southeast Asia region would have become a hell ruled by Communist dictators, just as if America had not participated in the Korea War, there would be no such a country called South Korea, no Samsung, no LG, no Hyundai, and no Kia.
I'm not saying all things Americans did in the war are righteous, and I'm not saying Vietnam is exactly the same as North Korea and Kamer Rouge, the main point here is to point out that America's purpose is not for conquest and occupation of Vietnam just as America had no purpose to conquer and occupy Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Japan, Germany, and other countries in all those wars we know. America wanted to help Vietnam during the war just as it is doing now to help Vietnam develop its economy, to help Vietnam heal the wounds of the war, and to help Vietnam face the threats from China.
Many people from the West, especially those younger generations with the leftist mindset, only know there are Communists in Indo -China countries, they don't know there were Communists in almost every Southeast country during the Cold War period. Actually, there were Communist insurgents in Thailand, in Malaysia, in the Philippines, in Burma, even in India and Nepal. In 1965, the Communists in the Indonesian Army almost took power in a coup. The leftists are so naive and ignorant that they failed to realize the harsh situation that Southeast Asian countries and the whole world faced during the Cold War period. They just oppose any war blindly. This cost a lot for America and elsewhere in the world.
I suggest people go to Cambodia to see S21 and Killing Fields, not those propaganda sites such as Cu Chi Tunnel if they really want to understand the Vietnam War, Indo-China War, and the whole Cod War.

The United States was inserting itself into the governments of developing nations around the world to preserve its interests, because socialist powers are much less likely to trade with the West. That's why we propped up the French despite their colonial rule over the Vietnamese people. Why we supported Diem despite his terrible abuse of his people. Why we propped up military dictator after military dictator not just in South Vietnam but across South America, resulting in the torture, imprisonment, and murder of thousands. The Communists in Vietnam were fighting since 1941 to reunite their torn nation under a Vietnamese government and wrest control from the French and other colonizing powers. They were fighting for their independence. The elitist regimes in the South sought to repress the poor of the population to retain their power. Diem was actively stripping rights away from the Buddhists, a majority of his population in favor of Catholicism, a leftover of French rule.
In Korea as well as in Vietnam American forces ended up killing millions of civilians. Napalm, defoliants, indiscriminate bombings and artillery, for years. We were not the good guys in either of those conflicts.

That’s not using my logic. I’m telling you that the United States inserted itself into the conflict and killed millions of people to stop the nation from gaining independence and to plant a “democratic” (read: despotic) government that would answer to America. Which is colonialism. And insanely unethical. It’s the same thing that the French did to those people. And what’s more is we sent tens of thousands of poor, young Americans (most of them uneducated and for a time too young to even vote) to go die. It’s a really good thing we didn’t win that war. In order to win it, hundreds of thousands more Vietnamese and American people would have had to die so that an unpopular regime from the South could take over.
Vietnam trades with us today on her own terms and not because we force them to, which is a good thing.

The Chinese very much didn’t support Vietnamese independence under Ho. They invaded and tried to annex the country immediately following the cessation of violence between North and South. The democratic government of Vietnam was not one that the people considered liberating. It was exceedingly oppressive and corrupt.

It failed politically but not militarily. American soldiers annihilated almost one million Vietnamese communist troops at the cost of about 58,000 sacrifices, this is by no means a lost war for America. During the war, the U.S. Air Force's bombing of North Vietnamese military and industrial targets in Hanoi and Haiphong forced the North Vietnamese to attend the Paris Peace Talks and sign the Paris Peace Accords. But the North Vietnam Communist regime violated the accords and attacked South Vietnam again after the US withdrew all its troops from Vietnam. Even worse, the new Congress controlled by the Democrats used their majority to de-fund the military aid the U.S. had promised to South Vietnam, while the North Vietnam Communist regime had full support from the Soviet Union and China, which led to this whole failure for the South. There is a broad consensus among professional historians that we actually could not win the Vietnam War. Even revisionists acknowledge their minority status, although some say it is because of a deeply rooted liberal bias in historical scholarship. But doubts about America's ability to win the war were by no means limited to civilian scholars. One can easily find them in the published works of official military historians such as Dr. Jeffrey J. Clarke - whose book “Advice and Support: The Final Years, 1965-1973” His work emphasized the undeniable problems that led to America's policy and strategic failure in South Vietnam. Pessimism also pervades “Vietnam Declassified: The C.I.A. and Counterinsurgency,” an official declassified book of the CIA, written by Thomas L. Ahern Jr., a CIA officer active throughout Indochina during the war.
On the contrary, the revisionist camp relies heavily on the assertion that our defeat in Vietnam was essentially psychological, and accordingly, victory would have been possible had the political leadership known how to maintain popular support for the war. Although psychological factors and national support are very important, the attitude of the Vietnamese people, not the Americans, is decisive. In America, popular support to fight Communism in South Vietnam started strong and then gradually cooled down as the war became more and more persistent. However, in South Vietnam, popular support for the war was always half-hearted, and the majority (and in some areas a majority) of the population supported the Communists.
The government of the Republic of Vietnam was corrupt, undemocratic, and internally divided - even under President Ngo Dinh Diem, who was assassinated in a 1963 coup, and under military factions after his term. he - has proven himself incapable of providing his people and armed forces with a legitimate reason to go to war. Unfortunately for America and the future of the people of South Vietnam, the Communists were more successful: By appealing to nationalist sentiment against the invading “American Empire” and promising to reform the system. corrupt socioeconomic system that keeps citizens permanently trapped in poverty, they have convinced millions

You should learn from history, not from the Vietnamese Communist propaganda machine. Vietnamese Communist regime is much more corrupt than the government of the Republic of Vietnam. Only after the Vietnamese Communist regime occupied the South, millions of Vietnamese refugees risked their lives fleeing the country. So, which one is better? Which one is worse? Is that clear enough? Is that so difficult for you to realize? Because of the Vietnamese Communist occupation and oppression, Vietnam is still one of the poorest countries in the world, even one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia, so what are you proud of? You don't need to compare with America, just compare with Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines, Vietnam is far more backward than those countries, you have nothing to be proud of.
