    This is the best constructed large, practical shipping container home/shop combo on UA-cam and is the only one I've seen up to industrial/military standards. Lots of useful info here as opposed to the usual shilling by people who do nothing.

    Andrew, I hadn’t watched any of your early videos and didn’t realize the extent to which you had to McGuyver everything you did. Lifting the trailer up with the boom to weld under the castle was brilliant and something I would have done. 13 years ago I moved away from everyone and everything and have had to figure out how to do ridiculous things solo with the aid of machines.
    Man have you put in serious work. Thank you for documenting it. You prove that man at his best is creating not destroying.
    Carry on, Sir!

    The ultimate guy home! I am very impressed with your layout and the location of your home. I can imagine rolling that barbecue onto the outdoor deck and grilling up some steaks! And your shop area is awesome. In my part of the country we call these types of homes grouses. Garage/house mash-up! I have a couple of friends who have done homes with a industrial garage or shop built right into their homes. Walk through a door and you can start welding! An overhead hoist on a trolley beam set up would be a great option for you. (I didn't notice if you had already built one into your shop area) Kudos for building what many of us oldtimers dream about, young fellow! You have shown the world what hard work and some real skills can achieve. Best of luck!

    Thank you for showing us through your castle. I have been wondering for a while what the internal layout was and was neat to finally see. Not everyone is so accommodating by sharing so much of their personal side. I also don't think your lounge/kitchen area was in any way a mess since it looked nice and tidy to me.
    Thank you again Mr Camarata. 👍

    I tried to watch other container homes and I just don’t like them as much as I like this one. I think it’s the combination of metal, concrete and containers that make it work so well together. You don’t lose the container in the build and the concrete and metal all work to make a nice home.

      Andrew Camarata - First I have to buy some land then the shipping containers. I just have NO CLUE as to where or from who to buy the containers. Then I'll have a friend of mine who's an artist make an animation 3D rendering with his CAD Program.

    • @vestel777
      @vestel777 7 років тому +9

      Andrew Camarata - I'm just going to keep it simple. The garage you built will be where the Electric car will go along with the charging station. The castle top will be a deck.

      DJDevon3 I I imagine they would last a very long time, especially keeping them painted, they are made out of corten Steel instead of regular steel which doesn't rust as quickly. I have some 6 x 6 square tubing and I-beams which support most of the concrete roof
