Last celpip reading test that I had, which was 3 weeks ago, I had 2 extra unscored tests not 1 as mentionedin this video, one for part 3 and other for part 4, in my view it's totally unfair, this test is so long and stressful, adding this to the test takers for developing purposes is unbelievable and unfair, my first reaction was that something wrong was happening, at the end I got a very low score... I called to the Paragon, and all I had that there was nothing wrong with the test a shallow response, very disappointed...

I have had the same situation twice in a row. To me it's like they are developing their test on our expense, like we are guinee pigs. I've written to them about this and they said it is what it is!!!!
There's no transparency in this test, it's 3 hours long (way more) a lot unscored items as "developing purposes", I'm wondering if it is their intention we feel tired to get a bad score in order to make us do this test again $$$ I asked then to check, and all I got was a shallow answer. Disappointed

Task 4 is really unfair. 10 questions just for one task? If you lose these 10 questions it means your score will start from celpip 7. It's ridiculous.👎🏽
Why is the exam 55-60 minutes, but then when I added up the approximate timing for each part of the reading test based on what the timing table says, it equals 44 minutes
Good question, Candy! The total length of the CELPIP Reading test is overestimated to account for a possible unscored Part on the test which would add an extra 9-13 minutes to complete. An unscored Part is included in many language proficiency tests to field test the performance of new test questions. (It does not count towards the final CELPIP test score). A CELPIP Reading test that does not contain any additional unscored items will take 44 minutes to complete; if there is an unscored Part to complete, the Reading test would take up to 57 minutes to finish (depending on which part of the Reading test contained the extra unscored item). The 55-60 minute time frame assigned to the CELPIP Reading test is, therefore, an approximation, and it is important to note that the Reading test will never exceed one hour.
