honestly i love how this song actually sounds like something a pokemon game would have in it. and actually hearing it using pokemons soundfont really makes that apparent. its so upbeat...but theres clearly something ominous present. and a lot of pokemons battle themes does the same thing.

Specifically, a wigglytuff with "timid" nature, (it's the closest thing to gloomy, and is mentioned in the og 'pasta) Hidden Power, Swagger, *Sing,* And explosion. If someone could give me the potential EV and IVs for DISABLED, i will try it out in Showdown.
@@saiashadoesstuff1133 basically in the first generation it got introduced in it raised the attack by two stages for the opponent it was used on and as subsequent generations came out the move would increase the attack to its maximum (+6), unless the pokemon has the contrary ability at which point it lowers it to -6, and confuses the target making it kind of ideal for a double battle format with a physical attacker with a high attack stat and a confusion curing berry due to swagger immediately causing confusion

This is 100% a final boss theme for a pretty screwed up Pokemon villain/rival. The song really feels like theyre the one going on the aggressive and youre fighting for your life. The mix of ominous melodies and upbeat rhythm makes it feel oppressive.
boiling down to the tunes like this really makes it apparent that it's thematically going for upbeat, frantic, and sinister all in one. Especially frantic. The melody almost sounds panicked in places.
Surprisingly, this wouldn't sound out of place in recent Pokemon games, as the music have gotten more diverse. It's like Lorekeeper Zinnia's theme but more intense. While it has some hints of SNES Final Fantasy, with slight callback to past generations, this is something they would definitely do. Edit: After playing through until the end of Scarlet and Violet, my point has gotten even stronger.
As much as this is BEAUTIFUL, I wish there were more of those sliding high-notes that are usually sung by DISABLED, I feel like it would not only make it more intense, but sound even more eerie.
