- Eiserman broke Cole Caufield's record yesterday scoring his 127th goal with the U18 US program. His scoring ability and finishing touch are incredible but other than that, he isn't the most impactful player. Personally, I'm not a fan of him but I still think he is worth a shot in the top 10 with the upside that he has.

I'm watching this a day before the draft... I am a habs fan, and I want Eiserman so bad. for me its either Demidov or Eiserman. Imagine a 2nd line consisting of something like Roy-Dach-Eiserman... And our powerplay consisting of caufield on left side, eiserman right side, slaf in front, and hutson and suzuki moving around creating space. we need a 2nd line goal scorer

I'll give my honest take on Cole Eiserman. I think scouts get way too ahead of themselves trying to find the next generational pick, and sometimes they look to deep into "all around" play. Cole is a soft back checker and his devensive positioning is shotty at best, he often gets impatient and loses sight of his assignment. In my honest opinion, however, that has NEVER been a part of his game even when he was the consensus #2, and I'm not sure why it's now being held with such critique. Cole Eiserman has exceptional offensive positioning and poses an immediate natural scoring threat to any team that drafts him. To me, that's ALWAYS what had him in the top 5. There's plenty of teams in the top 10 who are severely lacking goal scoring, and I just don't see how you pass up the chance on this kid.
Yup well said right here. Finding a two-way 50-goal scorer is incredibly tough to find. Sometimes you gotta take risks if you wanna find stars and if I'm a team like Ottawa who already have plenty of good young players, I would jump on a guy like him at 7

His shot is so lethal, but I'm not sold on the rest of his game, or his personality after already going third person haha, but that's a Brett Hull level shooting ability.
Im 100% with you. After watching about 15 games of the usntdp he didn’t really impress me. Great goal scorer but that’s it
And this is all before 18. He hasn't even begun to see his peak. First time watching him after the draft and he has a very lethal shot, and he's gifted with the stick too.
