Yea if they’d let him just scream it’d be so much better when the clean singer comes in it’s like a 12 year old boy whose balls havnt dropped yet and it just kills the intensity for me it’s like brutal brutal brutal then Justin Bieber comes in then brutal brutal brutal again. I tried guys but I’ll stick with TIJ
Dennis Brown yea not at all but then again that’s your opinion. That’s why TIJ was probably a failure but then again I saw them about 5 times when they were around.
To me is their best song in years! The perfect mix between pre and post-Drift era. I'm glad there's a bit from the old stuff, I think Augment is one of the best metalcore albums ever.
WhereTheWavesAreBorn for sure. I didn’t vibe that well with Neon. Just felt something was missing. Drift was good though, JT came in and made a statement with that album. But this single makes me excited again for another album.
agreed. as much as I love Erra, Neon didn't do it as much for me. It had a few moments when it was pretty dope. But overall, I felt it was the weakest of their albums. Personally, I like this track better than any on Neon. I am fucking stoked to hear the next album.
Kawaii Imouto how are you supposed to know what I meant? Best that was exactly what I meant. The first song by them I ever listened to was pattern interrupt from impulse, wich came out in 2011. I didn’t listen much to them afterwards but now I’m realizing my mistake. I am an actual fan of them now. So why don’t you think about it for a second before you start pointing fingers?
Got to see ERRA live during tour with ABR last year, they were great energy and extremely talented live. Vocals, guitarwork, and sound mix were on point. Even more impressive is their lead guitarist also does the clean vocals, blown away by how the dude juggles vocals with some of those insane tapping parts.
Oh shit! The cleans came out of nowhere but they were so perfect! They didn't drop the vibe of aggression and existed with such an original melody. I'm in love with this song. It's perfect. Perfect. I hope you're doing well, N.N.!
I found erra about 6 years ago and haven't turned back I can't get enough and I really feel like the keep their fans interested and pumped for new stuff. They are one of few bands that consistently get better every new record while somehow never topping their older stuff lol.
I have been a fan of ERRA since I heard Augment, and while it took awhile for Drift and Neon to grow on me, one complaint I had was that with JT they lacked power that Garrison (Their old voacalist) had. The vocals just seemed safe and this song has completely proven that JT has it in him to explore range and bring back that punch that ERRA has been missing.
Saw them play this one live in Lawrence on Sunday and it's one of their best live songs. Everyone that goes to catch them on the Neon Alien tour is in for a treat when these guys take the stage.
Jesse said on IG that they found the balance between their earlier technical stuff and the more ambient stuff like Drift on this album. I'm so stoked. This song is AMAZING.
The way that the tapping riff came in at the beginning reminded me SO MUCH of "Make Total Destroy" by Periphery. Nice song, will have to check out more stuff by this band. 👍
Jesse Cash is a beast, all he does is make music 24/7/365. And JT Cavey's voice is insane 🤘🏻 Wasn't a big fan of Neon, but I Love Drift, one of my favorite albums ever
If you want to hear another band with a (for me) perfect mix of screaming and clean vocals you should really check out Imminence! I suggest Paralyzed or Lighthouse (I know their album is „already“ 2 months old)
God, I fell in in love with Imminence a few months ago when Turn the Light On was just released. I'll get to see them live in 2 months and I'm so looking forward to this 😍😍
Haha! Great video, Nik. Love your reactions. Amazing track as well. I haven't listened to Erra that much but I might just have to get into them more after listening to this track :)
You’re great man, you’re one of my bigger inspirations to be better at guitar, and probably my number one reason to get a drop tuner haha, keep doing what you’re doing because it’s awesome
Jesse is definitely finding his happy place in his range now, not trying too hard and just settling for a comfortable, consistent pitch. I agree with this decision in the long run and especially because the live sound has suffered from his inability to hit such difficult phrasing at that pitch consistently in the past. I'm really happy with how they've progressed and am very excited for this record.
@@Engineer_Heathen I haven't kept up with them a lot but I love their first two released albums. I love Of Mice & Men and when I listened to The Flood I just liked Shayley Bourget. So yeah that's how I got into Dayshell
I found this band because of you Nik. This song definitely has a bit of an Architects vibe in the riffs. What gets me are the clean vocals. Lots of comparisons in the comments. To me this song reminds me of some of the best moments of the now defunct band Saosin. Not exactly the same genre but a similar vibe Imo.
Only found this band a week ago... I’ve listened to nothing else since! Weapon band! Their old albums are mental. Augment is so juicy. And neon and drift. All their albums are absolute nuts.
Hey friend, listen to their second album Augment, songs like Crimson and Dementia are true masterpiece, I also recommend Pulse, Prometheus, Frostbite and Ultraviolet, quite catchy tracks, different harsh vocalist though. Dreamcather is another of their masterpiece with ... another vocalist again.
Erra is really fucking awesome, they got unique vibes especially the melody Maybe after this you need to react to newest Nocturnal bloodlust song "Thank You"
I agree that song was amazing I seen them live they are from the same state I live in. Have you checked their guitarist Jesse's other band Ghost Atlas? It's really good to
Erra is a fantastic band, been listening to them for years. Y’all should check out Ghost Atlas, it’s Jesse Cash’s (Lead guitarist) side project, he has a wonderful voice
*Who else is stoked for new ERRA?*
I love their older albums, Augment and Impulse. Garrison Lee's vocals were great
React to bad omens FDBGFM
Like how you mentioned annisokay lol and loved that you noticed his vocals were low I was shocked on spotify
Can't wait. I'm also going to see them on the tour with Northlane. That's gonna be a sick show!
PLEASE YES
Never heard Erra before this song, it totally made me a fan!!! 😍😍😍😍
Go check out their album Impulse. It’s my fav by them!
Augment and neon too , those are my fav
Drift is a great one as well
They're all fucking good, just listen to them all

Erra has to be one of the melodic bands I’ve heard
When they start riffing in that particular style at 3:20, that’s when ERRA really gets me... love it.
"Is that it.." that's the most perfect song in history. Appreciate you man

Augment is amazing. Agreed.
This is the era of the ERRA. Without a doubt the best djent band and they are melodious and fucking heavy! Dope af
I love how its new and different, but it still sounds very unmistakably Erra. Really good stuff, can't wait for more
I just recently got into Erra and i am super into them. I love their guitar playing and both the screaming and clean vocals are awesome
My favorite band and this song just is insane. JT's vocals have gotten so much better.
The clean vocalist is the lead singer for a band called Ghost Atlas, it's so good. Definitely recommend checking them out!
Keon Ghost Atlas is Jesse’s solo project
Hell yea..AMAZING BAND!!!
Erra is my favorite band...augment was amazing.
Dementia is the most amazing song I've ever heard
Check it out you won't be sorry
That solo is absolutely insane. One of my favorites ever
The solo in the song sets it aside to me. However overall song? I'm glued to The Hypnotist
I saw Dementia live and cried the whole time. The most goosebumps I've ever had seeing a live performance.
Erra can never disappoint. Ever.
Edit... That breakdown literally gave me chills
so glad to see these guys getting more love ❤️ one of the most underrated bands out there imo
I love Erra, they’re one of my favorite new bands
Kawaii Imouto kinda, I mean their career started in impulse let’s be honest.
Kawaii Imouto yeah but still, you gotta admit their sound is about as modern as it gets.
Kawaii Imouto how are you supposed to know what I meant? Best that was exactly what I meant. The first song by them I ever listened to was pattern interrupt from impulse, wich came out in 2011. Kawaii Imouto exactly. And that’s what I meant when I wrote it in the first place.
Because it always was, and that was what I was trying to say.
Alex gets so slept on as a drummer. Almost never gets the credit he deserves. Glad you gave him some props.
It's like Architects mixed with Crystal Lake
nah his voice reminds me of the vocalist of the Ghost Inside
Screamer is ex Texas In July vocalist.
This sounds a lot like their old stuff though. Back to the roots
Accurate AF. I ain't complaining...
Exactly
The intro should be just the 0:08 sound looped xD haha
Oh noes
I frickin love that XD
I found Erra a little while ago while jamming to my Within The Ruins/Periphery pandora station. Was a fan immediately.
