- Bidor is a town in southern Perak, Malaysia.
This town is famous for its variety of food, travellers frequently choose to stop-by at one of the eateries before continuing their journey.
Shot in January 2023. Color graded to own taste using a Film Emulation powergrade as base. Added grain.

Old towns in Perak have a special place in my heart. When I was a child, my father would bring the family on road trips from KL, where we stayed, to Ipoh, our hometown. We would stop at some of the smaller towns like Bidor to eat and shop. These became less frequent after the N-S Highway was built. Sometimes I wish we could turn back the clock. Thanks for featuring such places in your channel.
Your observation is totally on point. I adore many small town in Perak too, maybe due to the fact that cantonese is my mother tongue.
Unfortunately we can only reminisce the past now, many interest bits are gone. All those subjects and lifestyle before digitalization are indeed more engaging and livelier; cinema, picnic by the riverside, cycling around town etc before the invasion of mobile device and social media. Sigh!
@@10cFILMI am a city person from Singapore but i love small town. I thought maybe it’s a good idea to do a Road Trip to drive Northward and visit some of the small town in Malaysia .
Such beautiful serene places. Reminds me alot of old Singapore which I grew up. It is sad to see these beautiful small towns neglected. More can be done to spruce up the place and let tourists enjoy old towns of Malaysia. Not everyone wants to go crowded Bali or Thai resorts. Malaysians who have success in life should come together to bring the spice back to these places.

Most travellers know the famous restaurants but really need a local to show around the other food stalls that are also good.
Good suggestion! But Malaysia usually a bit reserved and strange. Some viewers suggested some towns for me to visit, but after asking them what is interesting and when is the best time to visit, they will not respond afterwards 😅
Normally I asked because I would like to know the weather, if raining all week, it will be time wasted to travel so far.

He is a friend of mine, very good voice with Hongkie slang albeit he is a Malaysian. this video series started by chance, as me and him travelled to a few places in Perak, later I asked him to provide voice while I did the rest.

Bidor is also another old route drive passing by…. What is special for me, is the night time stop by to eat at one of the shop of another version of fried beancurd with any types of mee that I can choose from, another version than Big Tree stall in Pasir Pinji, Ipoh…. Come think of it, this is where my old car project which I get the parts from there too…. Now it is just passing by, can’t get further stuffs and unable to patronize the same place to eat….. All the best, Bidor….
many old eatery shops has since ceased operation after MCO, what a pity!
Yeah the Big Tree yong tau foo at Pasir Ping Ipoh sort of like a benchmark already, yummy!
Just hope the state government find a way to revitalise the whole route from Ipoh down to Bidor
State government….. I don’t want know at the end of it…. But the peoples must give them a push or else, anywhere old towns in Perak will never move forward….
@@BlackSpade315 it will never be easy due to the racial sentiment played up by the politicians, but it can be done just like Ipoh & Penang.

我今年才知道这是我的曾祖父在马来西亚奋斗的地方，他在那边长眠了，没能再回来中国，好不容易找到了一个旧地址，在犹豫要不要过去看一看，找一找，那个地方叫Jalan pangguang wayang
Jalan Panggung Wayang 的意思是戲院街，美羅鎮上就是了。你的祖籍是哪裡的？有你曾祖父的名字嗎？我認識美羅一帶很多的人物，他們的人際網絡很廣，可以幫你問問的，不是問題。
还有个题材是马来西亚怀旧的华人新村
第八頻道之前有個節目是關於華人新村的，很有趣。我有想過去紀錄新村，但是需要比較多的時間去溝通和籌備。現在我的呈現方式比較ad-hoc，街拍式，沒有預稿。

對美羅嘅固有行程係。。。到巴剎附近嘅路邊檔食早餐，系等阿媽和阿姨們買餸時就到書店搵下打折舊雜誌或者到水族店買魚餌
依家街尾出南北大道嘅路口有新美食中心

Duck leg herbal noodle price increased so much but quality is worst. Overpriced
We ordered duck leg, they sent duck meat (RM2 cheaper), claimed leg finished. It was around 11am.
So in the video I honestly said it as duck meat noodle, not duck leg noodle. About the taste and price, please refer to the reaction of me to your comment 😏
