This time of New Year's Eve is when it rains the most in the city, after which the weather stabilizes and it becomes more sunny. It doesn't rain like that the whole year, from March the weather starts to change in the city.
That's good to hear, i'll definitely keep that in mind so I can plan accordingly
I just got to meet the channel and I am loving it! Thank you so much for visiting São Paulo and staying for longer in order really explore the city. I hope you are enjoying the experience.
Thanks for the support. Sao paulo Is an amazing city 🙏🇧🇷
Mate, your videos are great. Don't give up on us!
The language barrier can be tough but it's not our fault: for decades the english taught at school was and in some still is a joke. We learn like "to be", "thanks" and "please".
But most people here are eager to make friends with foreigners, pretty sure you'll be making lots of friends pretty soon!
Thanks for the support. I tried using duolingo before coming here but that is similar to the basic terms of English you mentioned.
They are the ones supposed to learn our language not the other way around, if i travel to the USA i am not demanding no american to learn portuguese so i can comunicate with them.
*BRAZIL BEST COUNTRY OF WORLD 🇧🇷🇧🇷*

@@MarsellisTravels GO TO THE SOUTH OF BRAZIL TOO, IS BEALTIFUL
Crazy fuck.....LOL
No it's not😅

Thanks im glad your apart of the community! The next destination will be Thailand on April 7th. I'll make sure to make the official announcement in my next video
Very cool video. Good luck to you and enjoy yourself ❤
thank you!🙏
I would love to visit Brazil. I really want to check out Salvador
That's next on my list
Ayy almost at 1k fast growth, great video editing
Thanks for the support bro, almost there! 🙏
Almost an hour of video, it was just what I wanted to be able to relax from the tension I'm feeling from the test I have tomorrow lol.
our homie does have a soothing voice, I'm gonna say
I know that feeling lol. I wish you all the best with your test!
Parabéns pelo vídeo seja bem vindos a todos vocês 🇧🇷🌅 o Brasil ti abraça a todos.🇧🇷🌅
You are welcome!! Have good times!!
Thank you!
Very nice video
Thanks 😊
Thanks for watching!
That was a nice Amazing Grace
It definitely was
Also "Parque Caminhos do Mar" it's a nice option to enjoy the nature, history and the view.
Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out!
I miss it a lot. Love Villa-Lobos and Ibirapuera. Villa-Lobos is more laid back though.
Just enjoy while the weather is kinda fresh, when the heat comes you will see how hot it is
I love the hear but we'll see lol
This season is more rainy and cold than usual. We have the summer rain, but usually is a hot and open day and the rain comes at the end of the afternoon, a heavy rain.
I've noticed alot of swings in the weather recently. Hopefully it goes back to normal
@Marsellis Travels the weather forecast is expecting that the second half of January is back to normal.
Oh, and you asked about the houses prices. In that region probably is between 7 and 15 millions reais. Something around 1 to 3 millions dollars.
The US doesnt have an official language but English is just very common.
I wish the US would stress the importance of learning other languages other than english
In São Paulo I would recommend you to walk throughout "Minhocão" on a Sunday. Perhaps starting at "Parque Água Branca" towards the center. Afterwards you can have lunch at an Italian restaurant in the "Bixiga" neighbourhood.
Thanks for the suggestion, i'll checkout the park soon
Morango is strawberry - Maracujá is passion fruit - in the stores these are big and yellow orange and kinda egg shaped but bigger :) I’m in Argentina now but will be coming back to Brazil in just 6 weeks. Since we’re both doing the same sort of travel it seems, i keep watching your videos and enjoying your perspective - I even decided to subscribe to your channel. Thanks for all this and keep working at Portuguese! Actually curious if you have any experience with tutors or some other intensive process to learn? I think my PT is still better than your but quite often people can’t understand me, or I can’t find what I bc am looking for in Portuguese and have to try Spanish.., and I would be interested in an intensive class or something to increase the gains when I come back.
Thanks for clearing up the fruits for me and also thanks for subscribing. I haven't done any formal Portuguese learning. I've only studied a few grammar books and ive used duolingo as well.
Military police : ostensive guard in the streets (states)
Civil police : investigative police(regions)
Town Guard : for public builds or places(citys)
Federal police: like FBI (country
Thanks for the breakdown
@@MarsellisTravels you're welcome ...by the way the houses cost between $250 k and $ 1 million US dollars 🤔
Realmente nos EUA, não paredes grandes ,mais isso não quer dizer que não existem roubos as residências. Têm muitos vídeos,de entregas a domicílio, sendo furtadas
This rain comes from Amazonia. Summer in the southeast of Brazil is rainy season. It's more sunny from Abril until August.
I'll have to come back around the sunny months
Just subscribed! That was an amazing hour long vlog of your life in Sao Paulo! My question is, do they have a residence visa so you could stay longer than 6 months?
Other than that, i need to get that Acai ice cream 😋🍦
Those houses can easily cost over 1 million US$ depending on the size, because they are in a noble area (and because everything in SP is overpriced). But the most expensive ones are in closed condos, you can't reach them through regular streets. They hire private security and you have to be identified in order to get in.
Wow that's expensive. I think the condos are better because they provide better security. I want travel all around brazil and eventually move to the city i like the best
if you wanna go to the beach in são paulo, go to guarujá (tombo beach) . there is a bus on jabaquara goes there everyday.
Thanks for letting me know, i want to go there on a sunny day but i don't think we will have sunny days for a while
We Here!!!
🙏🙏🙏
Açaí is from the North region, especially Pará. I used to live in a neighboring state to Pará, and then I had my first açaí experience there back in 2007 when I think açaí became more popular nationwide. However, my best experience was in São Paulo lol btw, Portuguese is much more required outside Sao Paulo state, probably you'll notice it in northeast Brazil. There are cities that you can find many English speakers, mainly in capitals, such as Recife. However, not really. I;'d suggest you to pay a visit to Maceió, the most beautiful beaches I've ever visited, and the food is amazing.
Ninho is actually a brand, but it's one of those things, people start calling powdered milk by the brand name because it became freaking popular. But if you want to speak 100% correct, you should be saying: leite em pó (milk in powder, literally)
Thanks for the information. I want to visit Para and other states in the North in the future. Im going to make sure I have better Portuguese when I venture out to other states and cities
@@MarsellisTravels No problem! Oh, I see. Have you heard about Jalapão? It's in Tocantins state. Maybe you can go there after Pará, cuz of relative proximity. it's one of the must-see attractions. Anyhow, so much to explore in Brazil! Congratz on advancing in Portuguese. I know learning languages can be daunting. I've tried to learn English, German and Spanish so far, and it's hard. I have more familiarity with English, but I still struggle, so I can relate :) I'm currently living in Gainesville/Fl, btw. But probably I'll move elsewhere by June depending on work offers. Tell me about raining lol
praticamente todas as casas do Brasil possuem muros e portões altos como esses
Gosto do estilo, oferece muita proteção. Nos EUA é ilegal ter portões muito altos, eles só permitem uma certa altura
@@MarsellisTravels No sul (Rio grande do Sul), algumas casas só são de portão baixo , e algumas são de madeira.
Caution on walking in Villa Lobos while it's raining or close to rain, this place always have tons of floods...I almost lost my 84' Chevy when I drove there.
Thanks for the tip, it was pretty muddy over there
I’m almost 20 years living in Asia so I might be wrong about this but we don’t (didn’t) have HOA in Brazil. To me, HOA is a nightmare!! I even made a comment about brothers having to clean their mom’s garage and sidewalk because she had to pay $150 per day not cleaned. 😱
Leche is Spanish, in Portuguese it's leite (sounds like laytsh in the southwest). Ninho is nest, as in Nestlé
Thats a weird pronunciation to me as a English speaker. I have some studying to do lol
o melhor açaí do Brasil está no estado do Pará. pois é 100% natural.
Google who Villa Lobos was and then listen to his music.
Oh wow I didn't know he was a classical music composer. I learn something new everyday here lol
I missed it about the açaí, was that from a Maria Açaí ? It looks very much like what I got from there in Rio.. but didn’t know it was a chain of that is correct. (The layering and cup look the same)
I generally don’t go for “reality good açaí.” It’s too sugary. I often get açaí in stores: either no sugar added frozen açaí from the grocery store or an açaí juice from Tito Orgânicos if in Rio
Just to clarify the Train speaks in english so If you dont speak it the stops are spoken in English
Thanks for the tip!
although acai is popular, its tree is not easy to see around there!
oh i see. They probably only farmed i guess?
Very handsome🎉
Thank you
Brasil tudo de bom
viva o Brasil!
a maioria dos alimentos do Brasil são naturais.
It takes a lot of courage to live in another country all by yourself. As a foreigner (i guess as a american?) did you find it hard to adapt to Brazil? Is the culture shockingly different to yours?
I'm planing on spending some time abroad after finishing my graduation. But i always hear about people getting homesick and going back home..
wassup bro! im from Seattle moving to Sao Paulo to play football. if you out there we gotta link!
Nice bro enjoy your time there. I'm not I'm brazil right now but I plan on going back sometime this year
If you're any familiar with Italian, the "nh" sounds like "gn", kinda like "lasagna".
I don't know any Italian but I see what you mean.
In case of a zombie apocalypse we got walls and eletric fences ready. lol.
That makes sense lol. I wish I had a fortress like that 😆
nice
🙏
Didn't you have to buy a third ticket to get back? Because to go to Parque Vila Lobos you went by Metro and on the way back you have to first take the CPTM train, they are different companies and from what I understand you bought 2 tickets on the Metro. I haven't finished watching the video yet so I don't know if you commented on it afterwards.
No I only needed to tickets. To cross to the different metro you don't have to pay again unless you leave the metro station
No, you didn't understand what I meant or I couldn't be clear in what I tried to say. My English is not the best either lol.
About the price of the properties; I don't live in this area but I have an idea.
It depends the size of the house, structural conditions, etc... might to be something around R$ 900,000 ~ R$ 1,500,000.
Thanks for the info, i would love to buy 1 of those home but i can't afford it right now lol
Voce esta por for dos preços em São Paulo, uma casa na area que ele mostrou custa entre 3.000.000,00 a 6.000.000,00 milhões
hey, is that a bedroom appartment or a bedroom in an appartment? if so how much does it cost to rent
It's a bedroom apartment (studio apartment). It was about 650 a month when I was there. Brazilians have told me it's much cheaper to get into a rental contract somewhere, but you may need a Brazilian to help you do that unless you know someone personally to rent from
What do you do for living?
Paulista is the State genitive and Paulistano(a) is for the city. Paulista is gender neutral but for the city is o for male and a for female.
Interesting concept. Thanks for the info, I'll make sure to use the correct terms next time
Os sapatos sujos , é o de menos Valeu a experiência 🇧🇷
Don't skip leg workout hahah walking isn't training
Your right lol, I have to find leg workouts that I can do without a traditional gym
@@MarsellisTravels Check some leg training routines out in the Calistenia Brasil channel, i'll learn some exercises and practice yout portuguese listening skiils at the same time
do you feel like you are assimilating into their culture? Or is 3 months not long enough to lose your "gringoness?" Have you made local friends that you hang out with regularly?
I've made local friends here and in Rio. I feel like I'm just now settling in to the culture. 3 months is definitely good enough to understand the culture. Now I want to travel to different states and cities in Brazil
@@MarsellisTravels Live the dream. I plan to head to São Paulo in 2024.
Oh you thought it was whole grain. Wouldn't bet on it. McDonalds.
gente, aprender a lingua do pais pra onde vc está indo morar é o básico, pelo amor
estou aprendendo aos poucos
Did you experience racism in Brazil?
No not really. Everyone was friendly and open to me
More and more I'm thinking I'd love to see American politics in the rear view mirror.
Same here, It's a breath of fresh air
