      Wow this is very well written and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way (like me), but never write it out like this (also like me). Thank you, Billy!

    I just came across this sentence in the kdrama 'Tell Me That You Love Me' and became curious about the ~든 ..... "듣지 못해든 음악 즐길 수 있어요.' It was written on a blackboard in the scene so I could easily take note of it 😊 Papago translates it as 'You can enjoy music even if you can't hear it.' For context the speaker was deaf. I am wondering if there is another use for 든 as this sentence doesn't seem to fit the explanations you gave. I've also watched some other videos but they haven't offered anything else. What am I missing please??😳

      듣지 못하다 is from 듣다 ("to hear/listen") and means "unable to hear/listen." That's just 듣지 못하든 and is this same form :)

    4:25 Why didn't we use 한국어를 instead of 한국어는?

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  Рік тому

      은/는 is just the Topic Marker so it sets it aside as the "topic" of what you're talking about.

    if I may ask, between these 2 sentences is there a difference in nuance? Is one incorrect?

    So right after hearing you say that 든지 either needed to have a second form or be used with a question word, I heard/saw this sentence:
    너 어디 가든지 다 찾을 수 있을 것 같아
    She used 어디 but attached 든지 to 가다. I looked and made sure she didn't use a second form anywhere else around that. So was this technically grammatically incorrect? Or is it okay because she used 어디 right before it?
    Thank you for these abridged videos, they're really amazing for people who don't have the time to watch the entire livestream!

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  Рік тому +1

      Yes, that's explained in this video but you may want to re-watch it. When used with a question word, it's used with only one form :)

    Hi Billy, I'm leaving this comment here because by the time you get to Jungkook's speech it will be flooded and you might not see it. He is frustrated and wants to learn more english and has asked Army if anybody can teach him. I'm thinking you might be the perfect teacher for him🤯I hope you can somehow reach out and perhaps make the perfect connection to help him. You are the greatest. As for me? I'm old and can't grasp enough to even say anything except goodbye and count to 3 🥴so ...
