Thank-you, thank-you for fighting the good fight. We'll try to stagger on without you as best we can, but we'll carry your hope and optimism like a torch! Bless you.
I can distinctly remember watching this when it was first broadcast... it was one of the moments that solidified my faith in the NDP, honestly. Jack was the most charismatic leader ever and I couldn't agree with his beliefs more. RIP Jack, I never met you but I think I definitely knew you.
It will honour Jack's memory if all us Canadians vote for change in the next federal election. It would be the completion of Mr. Layton's life work, to see a fairer Canada. Please honour Jack with your vote in the next federal election. R.I.P Mr. Layton, the best Prime Minister Canada never had.
I wish that Air Farce would have continued with Penelope Corrin, Jessica Holmes, Craig Lauzon, and Alan Park. It would have been a great thing to continue. I certainly would have liked to have seen how they handled the COVID-19 crisis.
@ROFLCOPT3R90210: Yes, and that reason is too many people are willing to accept the same status quo as opposed to going out to change the world themselves and standing up for those people whom the Conservatives and Liberals could care less about...working families, and the common Canadian. Jack cared, and Jack fought tooth and nail for his beliefs. In my opinion he was always fighting for the right reasons. You are entitled to your opinion, but as this is a free country, I am entitled to mine.
I think Jack Layton would feel very cheated if the NDP got voted into a majority simply to honour his memory. That's what we call pity voting. Next federal election, please vote for the MP that will serve your constituency best, not one whose party leader happened to pass away. That that person is NDP, great. If not, there's no guilt in voting for what's best for the person best in your community.
If Jack Layton was alive today, he would be the next prime minister in October 2015, and this country would get back some of it's old lustre , Harper must go and somebody has to step up.
+Mike Kingsbury He had the same sort of warm personality fun loving charisma and down to earth charm that John Diefenbaker had, its a pity that passed away because today he'd probably be Prime Minister...and a fine PM he would have made.
You're defending a guy who's wrecking Canada, and probably cheated for that privilege -- and on top of that, regularly silences and harasses anyone who questions him. Exactly how is that not idolizing?
This made me feel really good to watch. It reminded me what it was about Jack Layton that people loved.
It's too bad such unfortunate circumstances took this man away
RIP Jack, it'll be a long time before someone as charismatic as you comes along.
"Well, he's a sub-prime minister."
Damn, Jack, we would have loved you as the leader of our country. Miss you.
Rest in Power.
Get such a sad feeling watching this 10 years on...
Thank-you, thank-you for fighting the good fight. We'll try to stagger on without you as best we can, but we'll carry your hope and optimism like a torch! Bless you.
miss him so much..:(
He would have been the best PM. I miss him and I still can't believe he's gone.
On days like today, I really miss this guy. 😢
I'm a Canadian conservative, but I respected Jack very much. I felt he was a good leader for his party and a decent human being.
wow, u never know a great guy till he's gone
HAHAHA, I LOVED episodes like these - 'Layton & Layton' and 'Manning to Manning'. Comedy gold.

2023: Jack still brings a glow to my heart. Might not have liked his policies so much, but loved the person.

He should have been PM DAMN IT
He would've made a good Prime Minister.
Care about the kitchen table, not the board-room table. Well said Jack.
Way too awesome.
Oh jack you were always funny even when you didnt try :) he will most definitely be missed forever.
Classic airfarce

R.I.P Mr. Layton, the best Prime Minister Canada never had.
That was so funny end of thing was he did it all without even laughing although I think a couple of times he came close
The resemblance is uncanny, wow.
RIP Jack.
Never liked his politics but he seemed like a decent man.

This is when the NDP stood for something. I miss these days of politics.
Notice jack Layton didn't break charecter once
Jack Layton would be rolling over in his grave if he saw what the NDP is doing to Canada
Jack would have been better than what we have now

sub-prime minister, god I love Layton
I can't help but wonder if Jack Layton has not died if he would have been PM by now.
Nobody wanted him as leader, but at least this proves he could take a joke better than the other leaders
Did Jack Layton have a driver's license? Even in the videos I saw of him, he had a bicycle.
Please come back and merc dofo
thats why i love livin in canada we dont give a fuck lol
HAHAHA!
God, we will give you Justin Bieber for Jack Layton back!

@nasilu There's a reason why he never was prime minister.
If Jack Layton was alive today, he would be the next prime minister in October 2015, and this country would get back some of it's old lustre , Harper must go and somebody has to step up.

Dief didn't he cancel the Avro Arrow the most advanced interceptor at the time not cool on Diefs part
Nah he probably would have lost to trudeau
sub prim minister lol
Yeah, so realistic that there's no evidence that it happened.
That because there's nothing to idolize in Harper
Harper was just bland no emotions at all just boring to watch hearing him talk was like watching paint dry just like Jason Kenny now.
You just slandered a dead man, who the hell are you to say who deserves to die?
You're defending a guy who's wrecking Canada, and probably cheated for that privilege -- and on top of that, regularly silences and harasses anyone who questions him.
