I don’t know why people are complaining about power,it’s main purpose is for cruising not for off-roading or racing ,the engine is fine and is even better with milage ,👍🏻Honda.
Have to give to Honda - they've finally taken the Indian customer seriously. While its disappointing to see the lack of start-stop hybrid tech, its still impressive to see the the choice of complex engines and transmission. History has shown that whenever a Japanese carmaker does this in India, they dominate the segment. Assuming Honda don't cross the 25 lac price point, Hyundai's significant head start is now under threat.
From the standpoint of both reliability and emission standards, petrol motors are more future-proof than diesel; so can't compare 1.6D with 2.0/2.4P on those counts. But in terms of the bi-turbo, the diesel motor is more technologically sophisticated when compared to the naturally-aspirated petrols. However, the benefits thus arising (via space saving in the engine chamber and lower engine weight), don't edge it past the petrols, it simply gives it an edge against other diesels in terms of better power-to-weight, torque-to-weight, and maneuverability.
160 Bhp .... wow. Thats really too much power. I could actually achieve escape velocity with that many ponies.... hathbacks in U.S have more under the hood..
Imo the only reason CRV lost its charm back in time is because lack of Diesel engine. Now it’s interesting to see what will happens to fortuner when champion comes back in the game.
Good interior done by Honda price is little bit higher compare to jeep compass & jeep compass comes with 4x4/4x2 option more power than Honda CR-V however Honda has done a good job in terms of design and interiors.
My 2013 model CRV diesel with 2.2 litre engine is superb. The model was replaced by the engine in the review, 1.6 with either a single [for 2wd] or twin turbos in 2015. The engine and CRV we get in the UK is built in the UK, but not for long. UK CRV production is coming to an end with the end of the 4th generation. Unfortunately they say that the imported 5th generation will not be available with either the diesel or the ZF nine speed automatic. The model we need and which would be the big seller, would be the diesel with 9 speed, but it seems we will be lumbered with Canadian imported petrol with CVT transmission, which I predict will be the death of Honda UK.
Friends, the all new Honda CRV can't beat any suv. yes even though it costs about 30 lakhs. the reason is honda given only 1597cc engine. where as Tata HEXA provides 2100cc engine from 11.5 lakhs to 20 lacks and another vehicle from Force Motors that is called GURKHA. It has 2500cc engine but it costs very less compare to crv....
Subrahmanya Eswar do they feel premium Tata hexa superb car but exterior is cheaply designed interior is good but not beautiful look at interior of crv look how pretty and butchy it looks at the same time it's Honda are pioneer in making engines are normal car for fun loving people who loves driving steering feel and the cornering confidence then the reliability it will stay with you 100 years without problems whereas Tata cars engine are making those cluster sounds after 15 k kmh and Gurkha its a off roading jeep its an ugly car not a safe car feature less crv has better safety ratings than others in the segment won the safest car award in the segment in USA last year if its top model is under 25 lacs and still people don't appreciate the car then they are idiots l
It's the Philippines version of single turbo 1.6L diesel with 120 bhp and 300 Nm torque (and NOT the Thailand spec 1.6L diesel twin turbo that boasts 160 bhp and 350 Nm torque) that Honda is bringing into India! The explanation given by Honda for this downtuning in power is to keep the cost under check! Fantastic! In that case, they can as well bring it down further by plonking in the desi 1.5L diesel of the BRV so that it can compete with small-size SUV's rather than aiming at mid-sized SUV's. To me, it makes absolutely no sense to buy this downtuned diesel CRV when I can buy a better spec compact diesel SUV at much lesser price point. The very purpose of this "able, mid-size, modern and sophisticated 7 seater" CRV catering to a different class of aspirational buyer stands defeated and Honda has itself to blame for another strategic blunder. This partisan and regressive approach towards Indian market is never going to help Honda in the long run. Hyundai, on the other hand, is leapfrogging its japanese rival in every aspect by bringing in world-class vehicles into India. Kudos to them!
In India we get 120 bhp and 300 NM...totally disappointing. 🙄Even Mahindra Marrazo has the same power also will get much better comfortable 3rd row.Price 1/3.
It has to be priced with Innova Crysta pricing and you need to have a comparison test between them. 160 bhp is not worth for 30 lakhs price mark. Will fail in Indian market as other honda cars did.
With this car, Honda has finally dug their grave... I am a huge Honda Fan & my most fav CR-V is now an MPV similar to their failed MPV lineups... Honda needs awakening... Toyota rules the SUV & MPV segment but lacks in Hatchbacks & Sedans, Honda needs to Focus on these... Ford, Mahindra & Tata is catching up wonderfully...
i think you're speaking from an indian perspective... crv is a suv, a mpv is the odyssey/elysion... toyota rules the suv/mpv? lol.. only in india maybe
I don’t know why people are complaining about power,it’s main purpose is for cruising not for off-roading or racing ,the engine is fine and is even better with milage ,👍🏻Honda.
Diesel CRV Finally ......I can rest in peace now !
Luis Fernandes Why? Petrol is not good?
LYF professor bcos diesel far more efficient n save fuel, the torque also high
Honda needs to fire its alloy designers
i see a good chance for this product to do well in our market.but again pricing plays an important role.
I have the New CRV ex and I love it. It doesn’t have a third row seat. Not in America that is. Even the touring doesn’t have the third row seat.
HONDA is HONDA... COMFORT & LUXURY NO ONE CAN BEAT HONDA

I don't think so... Price will surely cross 30 lakh
Yeh
Is that iwc pilot you are wearing
Cool SUV after a long time from Honda
kitna airbag hai ?
waited for a long time for this
1.6 is more future-proof compared to 2.0 and above? since it's diesel?

lei i tum deuh ami a.?,😁😁
Top end should have all the fitments for esteemed buyers.
Is this a zf sourced transmission?
What will the fuel economy come as?
Amazing honda quality superb Honda
Also waiting for the CIVIC review just like this...
A 7 seater?
Woah have to look out for this!
All i would say m fall in love with this car
When will be able to see auto car India doing review for the tesla model x and s ?
Needs to be be priced at Jeep compass levels to be competitive.
chocoboyc if it will be priced at jeep compass then crv will be the best selling car in the segment but it won't be price so cheaply sadly
it's not in same segment
It should bring down the price to stay relevant
160 Bhp .... wow. Thats really too much power. I could actually achieve escape velocity with that many ponies.... hathbacks in U.S have more under the hood..
This will be true game changer if they priced between 20-29 lakhs
How much will it cost for petrol top model
It will not work in India as best seller anymore..Honda crv will be 30 lakhs on road and it will loose there
Actually there is no any information about the launch of this vehicle in India......
i like honda cars but i don't like crv but honda pilot it's very nice one better then any other cars.
Good for you India....here in the Phils we only get 120hp 300+nm
Driving a beautiful car in account beautiful city...
My favourite car.....
Imo the only reason CRV lost its charm back in time is because lack of Diesel engine. Now it’s interesting to see what will happens to fortuner when champion comes back in the game.
Is this car will be availiable in 2.4 Vtec Petrol??
Sure. That'll be the flagship of the CR-V lineup.
I hope honda launches the civic before this. True drivers car.
bought new Honda Wrv there is Rusting in it Honda response not good they say they will paint it again what should I do

diesel wont survive eu emission controls... unless it is equipped with urea cleaning exhaust system which is a mess
Fantastic review. But too steep pricing for a 1.6.
Prabhu Iyer 1.5
Is that a big pilot
Looks nice but if priced 22-25lacs otherwise endeavour is best..
Price?
If it's launched at 20lakh then it will be best selling car
Bring this to Canada!!!!!
this would be a great hit..
Can we expect a similar refined engine on the City ?
Only if they have a 1.0l diesel bi-turbo to spare.
Why do u worry so much about engine noise? I think an engine is meant to make noise.
That gear selector is enough to tell that this isn't coming in manual form.
Will Honda launch the Accord Sport with only a manual?
I wish Honda had released the Accord with the 2.4/3.0 engines instead of the Hybrid.
What's the mileage
If Honda keeps the on road price below 30 lakhs I bet I can sell in big numbers
Whats the price
Bro when will launch in india I want to buy it for my father
Uk Shanky perhaps in This September Or October and thera are chances of 2.0 litre diesel engine.
Small engine less tax , cheaper ?
I am a Honda user myself but 27 lakhs for 1.6 litre 160 HP Diesel car may not be accepted by cost conscious Indian market
Kundan Bharambe CRV-Diesel offers DSG compared to old CRV-Petrol, I agree engine was supposed to be much bigger for this price range, but this is lit
Compare it with fortuner as both are priced same
fortuner have a truck chasis
@autocar No sunroof in new CRV.. quite an exclusion I must say
no sunroof?
Sunroof????
Very soft looking and small engine size.. cant compete with T-fort/Endy.. top model must be priced at 22-23l max..
This car is not fortuner's or endeavour's rival either. It's a class below those two.
Pricing is the Biggest enemy for "Hondaaaaa"🙄🙄🙄
After abusing and over using the front of amaze now they're abusing n over using the back of jazz. Nevertheless, seems like a good value
tail lamps looks like the volvo X60s
Plz review veryes 300
When will be launched in India??

Why no electric boot operation at this price point.
Good movie
Nice car but it would be better if it had sunroof, petrol and more power
Ashutosh Soni there’s a model with a sunroof
In India we get 120 bhp and 300 NM...totally disappointing. 🙄Even Mahindra Marrazo has the same power also will get much better comfortable 3rd row.Price 1/3.
Intead of buying this, i will mahindra xuv 500 or upcoming tata h5x.
Great look
Is it a 4x4 ??
likely the top-end version.
awd or 2wd... no 4wd

R.I.P. V-Tec
Nothing can beat Fortuner
If I had to stress every word and utter it from my epiglottis, I would have shit in my pants at the end of review.
Pretty much looks like the brv Feb front
Ananth Krishna true brother and the reviewer also has spoken it
At the suggested price one will get more car in an Innova
Its 118 HP in india
Waiting....😍
Sounds like my GTA VC Car

Crv I like it...
Not a Santa-fe rival but a jeep compass rival
Seven seater and Diesel engine will add some boast in sales of CRV in india
Nice suv
Good look But Not Good look as SUV Need Much Power to Compete with big Rivals like Toyoto and Ford in India
Does CR-V have panoramic sunroof.
No. CRV never got a panoramic sunroof.
ron we do in bangladesh, we get the top of the line touring model!!
Is it 4>
In most Hondas tail is volvoish....
I would rather put 5L more and get a fortuner, than this.
I have booked jeep compass. Yayyy
I’d still go for Tucson
Is it SUV? Is it?
Nice car
Nice!
1.6 Litres holy shit!
there is a car Honda CRV diesel
