My all time regret for not being sent to Eurovision is "Avundsjuk" by Nanne Grönvall. Not because it is the best song ever, but because she looked like an evil pixie and sang about Envy. It was a fun performance...
Anders Bagge is actually first of all a music producer, and yes he has been in the jury of Idol, and now also been on stage with this song "bigger then Universe" written by himself if I do not remember wrong.
Yohio is a guy but he dresses very feminine and has makeup a lot of the time, he’s really big in Japan, speaks Japanese and lived there for many years. He has a lot of raw rock songs, great singer
Fun fact about Salem Al Fakir he is one of the founders of the duo vargas and lagola which have worked alot with Avicii. He is amazing and i wished that he actually won the whole thing back in 2010.
18:40 Nanne Grönvall is one of my all-time favorite Swedish artists. She has an amazing vocal range, and she writes her own songs with the help of her husband. What I love most about her music is that many of her songs carry meaning, often critiquing certain aspects of society or the way people behave, but in a fun way. While Håll om mig is just a pop song about love, it’s the combination of the melody and her vocals that makes it great. It was a massive hit in Sweden, in fact she only lost by 3 points. She also competed in 1998, where she placed fourth with the song Avundsjuk (Envious), which is my favorite Melodifestivalen entry of hers. In the song, she sings about one of Sweden's big social issues-'The Swedish envy.' Due to ideas like Jantelagen, many Swedes become easily envious when someone else's life improves, and they tend to focus on the negative rather than the positive aspects. Since Jantelagen says you're not supposed to be better than anyone else, a lot of swedes often twists it and become mean when someone else achieves something. If you're interested in reacting to it here's the live performance with no english subtitles: ua-cam.com/video/tTcDtgjg2cA/v-deo.html and here's the music video with added english subtitles, if that's more convenient: ua-cam.com/video/jtMB_YMLwAY/v-deo.html
Yohio aka Lucas Rehn (not a woman) has the style of Japanese Visual Kei. He has tried to make a name for himself in Japan. He has realesed songs in Japanese. I don't know how successful he is in Japan though.
21:16 oh my! Salem Al Fakir is one of our best musicians and songwriter in Sweden. He has been work with Avicii Sienabo Sey, Veronica Maggio and many more. You should check out his project he has now with Vincent Pontare, their name is ”Vargas & Lagola”. I absolutely love their music.
My mum died over a month ago from cancer. We didn't have a good relationship, but when I was young. We would sometimes cuddle up and listen to music together. My favorite was ''Det vackraste.'' from 95 which is also the year I was born. I played it at her funeral. I hope she enjoyed it, I miss her so much.♥ Edit: btw there is an english version to the song. which is called ''Living in a dream.''
Did you know that the girl in 1986 Lena Philipsson is the one who will be the singing instead of Marie Fredriksson when ROXETTE will tour again next year. The text in the song 1986 was created by Per. Here is a new song in Swedish with both of them. ua-cam.com/video/WPwYNk5cZb0/v-deo.html
Yohio considers themselves non-binary.. So the international jury from Eastern Europe wouldn't give him any points at all, saying it was too debauched for them.. So the real winner would have been Yohio if only Sweden and Western Europe got to decide..
Місяць тому
"Considers themselves" ... " wouldn't give him" ... ouch. Anyway, I'm not sure what your definition of "Eastern Europe" is. The countries in the international jury of Melodifestivalen in 2013 where Croatia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Spain, United Kingdom, Ukraine. So yeah, might not have been the most accurate recall of of historical Melodifestivalen events I've seen.
Some of these really hurt. Some of them still makes me upset, like Nanne Grönvall (2005), Salem Al Fakir (2010), Arja Saijonmaa (1987), Carola (1990) and Sanna Nielsen (2008).
@@josefinelagerstrom2643 Think 2011 'I'm in love' was her best. Finnish Arja 1987 got her biggest hit in Sweden, could have been also in following year 1988 with powerfull 'Amor Amor' in Finland preselection, but unfortunately Finns were (again) too stupid to choose it. ☹
When Loreen won with Euphria, the song was first offered to Danny but he didn't like it. So they asked Loreen instead, and she said. Only if I can do it however I want!
I was so passed when The Ark won in 2007 instead of Andreas Johnson. He was my absolute favourite that year. The aame goes for Nanne when Håll om mig got second place and Martin won with Las Vegas. UGH...I'm not joking when I say that many swedes was so angry and when some of the runnerups through the years didn't win because the winners
Which Melodifestivalen Runner Up Performances was your favorite?

Yes, Nanne’s Håll om mig should’ve won that year.
Also, maybe we should tell who her husband is. ;)

It’s Kevin, not Lucas :) although Lucas is his middle name
I am impressed by your knowlige of our artists ❤😊
Thank you! :)

Salem Al Fakir not winning 2010 is the biggest robbery of all time in my opinion.

Sanna Nielsen 2008 is a robbery. It's her best entry.

Yes please react to Yohio! I think ”My nocturnal serenade” is really cool, very dramatic music video
Or his live cover of Ted Gärdestads amazing song ”Himlen är oskyldigt blå”
Yohio is a man, he became famous while living in Japan

Carola Mitt i ett Äventyr
2013 still makes me mad, could have gotten a great song by Yohio, instead we got the most basic pop song ever.
Yohio is a guy 😂
