Your video is so much more complementary than another one that I watched. We lived there and raised our kids 20 years ago. It was a fantastic town to raise your kids. Sorry the weather wasn’t better for you. Brilliant video that helped us reminisce. Thanks for posting.
Loch Gilp is joined up to the much larger Loch Fyne which is a sea inlet or a fjord carved by glaciers, at that time it was just a dry valley until the glaciers melted off and sea water flooded in to create Loch Gilp, looking across the water you can see Kilmory woods of the left and Knapdale and Kintyre on the right, looking straight along you can see lots of big mountains far across the water, that is the Isle of Arran which has plenty of shops, beach spas, fillings stations and schools, some good properties come up for sale there too just like on mainland Argyll but they’re so popular that homes sell as fast as hotcakes at a market stall. Yes the Crinan canal does meet the sea at Ardrishaig.
